🧵9: The point I'm trying to make is that people in this fandom need to chill the hell out about the casts' age. The show was set back by the strikes in 2023, and this cast is amazing. Discrediting their acting because of normal human aging & normal filming schedules is honestly bizarre behavior

🧵6. The age of the PJO cast is fine. If the strikes hadn't happened, we probably would have S2 by now and they'd be wrapping up S3. Alas, here we are. The show will benefit from this. The actors' skills will have only continue to improve & they can better understand the nuances of the younger ages

🧵5: As far as anyone is concerned, they perfectly portray those ages & they look close enough to those ages. Most ppl don't age much between 17-22. You can appear older or younger through clothing & personality/acting, but biologically, you don't age much (if someone is underage, be normal 😒)

🧵4: In DH Part 1, Daniel was 19/20 playing a 17 year old Harry. In Part 2, he was 20/21. Tom Holland was 18 years old playing a 14 year old Peter Parker, & Peter only got up to 18 ish years old in the MCU and Tom Holland was about 25. He didn't look too old for Peter in NWH. To me at least

I applaud ppl who post their reactions as their reading or watching a series. I like following along ppl’s journeys thru a series but I feel so bad bc the comments are full of ppl saying, “ohhh just you wait!” “You don’t know what you’re in for!” & other spoilery types of comments. Idk

I also didn’t know the ship existed at all. It wasn’t until after I started to lose interest during season 12 & 13 that I started hearing abt it. I still couldn’t care less abt romantic plots so I didn’t give it much weight. Now that I’m older it’s like yea, Destiel was real & I’m late to the party😅

Yeppp. I deeply appreciate Kaladin’s natural aversion to horses. It’s genuinely the most realistic thing I’ve seen in fantasy. And it’s honestly so relatable bc I have days where I think to myself, “why do I do this? Do I even like horses?” He’s right, they are strange 😭

Gen z grew up steeped in social media & it being a big part of their social lives. I have nothing against teens being on social media but man, one saw parasocial obsessiveness becoming an issue & it seems like there’s no stopping it. It’s almost too much of a culture now. It sucks

I have a feeling those weirdos are all younger gen z. I remember social media being this mystical concept in my early teen years. FB was beyond me. It was normal to obsess over actors/artists, but you didn’t know more than what you could find on Google. There was no following them on social media

I’m only really bringing Dior up bc that’s the last bit of cast drama I’ve heard. Ppl online were mad about things she said & that was my line. As I said, teenagers are naive. I’ve seen ppl rip into Dior & blacklist her. I understand the frustration, but at the same time… I’m sorry, but teenagers are inherently naive. Most go thru educational growing pains privately. This cast doesn’t have that luxury. Mistakes they make are put on blast w NO room for learning & growing

She said I didn’t have to keep the sequels if I didn’t want them & I told her she was insane thinking I didn’t want them. So now I own 2 sets of 2-5. Yes, I’m keeping them. Lil backstory: yrs ago I got 1-4 of the PJO series in paperback, then the 5th in hardcover. I loaned out TLT to someone long ago, not knowing it would be difficult to replace. I’ve tried over the yrs but failed. My friend gave me an early present - the entire original covers for PJO 😭 (1/2)
