Long distance, multi day tour planning. I have been happy with segmenting a long route in Calimoto. But... Others seem to think that MRA is the way to go. The challenge is exporting waypoint routes to navi and then setting the desired riding style between waypoints. Image: How it started. #motosky

I've had this for many years. It was expensive, but back when the quality was very good. I use this for repairs, as a small table and it packs down to the disc underneath the cargo bag.

We rescued a bike that had gone off a steep switchback (rider ok) which goes some way to explaining why we only averaged 20 mph on the 5 country day trip. We also took time to enjoy, take pics, eat and chat. Bonus: Saw this amazing 30 year old Laverda 650. #motosky #laverda #motorcycle #motorbike

Beeline Moto II, left. SP Connect with Pixel 9 with Calimoto, Moto Guzzi Navigator built-in. One is cool, one is capable, one is conservative. Ultimately, the cool choice is redundant here. I'm not liking the SP Connect mount though. #motosky #v85tt

I've been using the Beeline Moto II recently and you cannot deny that the Moto II design is fantastic. The problem for me is the Beeline planning software. Thx to Calimoto I'm used to configuring different inter-waypoint riding styles. Quick out, windy, twisty, quick back. Not possible on Beeline.

My first 2-day Tour between Mosel and Rhein completed on the Moto Guzzi V85 TT. It hit the mark! It's exactly what a 10k tour bike needs to be. On Monday I'll do a big 550 km (Five countries in a day) tour which will be the final test before I decide if it's a keeper. #motosky #v85tt #motoguzzi

Lamp testing is also starting for the tour. Red and Amber are really important so I'm starting with a simple 12V 5W mobile home unit. I doubt it will be rugged enough for 50 days of travel but the size is good. Maybe I can ruggedise it and add hooks. #motocamping
