This is also the first WR to swap between input devices, which was done once at the start of 8-4 from keyboard to controller. Misc. trivia:

Misc. trivia:

This is the first time the past three untied WRs have been by different players (averge11 -> LeKukie -> Niftski) since Niftski's first Any% WR in 2020 (Tavenwebb2002 -> Kosmic -> Niftski)
Niftski beat the fastest possible time with a prime number of milliseconds (4:54.349) by 1 frame
Niftski continues to speedrun outdating Kosmic's videos, it took 7 days this time
This 4:54.332 is a total of 17,689 frames (the NES version is 39375000/655171 ~= 60.09881387708959 frames per second), and with the perfect RTA time being 4 frames lower, Niftski beat the last decaframe barrier
With Niftski opting to not fast accel in last room, the first WR with all strats/all fast accels is still on the table
