Oh yeah, this is what lead to me becoming a raccoon. I was a doll avatar and I thought the big mustache and cigar and dope beanie and sneakers made it immune to creeps but yeah, got some weird attention. But it lead to an awesome raccoon arc!

I also get the feeling VRC won't address stuff like this because of how casual it is in Japanese media and fans of that are all over VRChat and even investing in the platform. Like, some of the VKet stuff for example is extremely sus. But that's a major event in VRChat.

I know not everybody who uses kid avatars is a lolicon. Not trying to say that. But it's become so bad that I question everybody I see in them unless I truly know them. I'm sure lolicons jumped for joy when VRC reinstated one of their own as Discord staff before. They probably feel approved by VRC.

The lolicon problem has gotten so bad. You probably won't agree with this, but I don't even think kid or kid-like avatars should even be allowed anymore. Even if they're clean. I even used to use a doll like avatar, but I had to find something new because I got some weeeirrdd attention.

The documentary is so messy. It talks about broad rules like they're part of a justice system. It doesn't mention age verification, content tagging. And until the very end, they push a "sex is evil" agenda. Only at the VERY end do they hard pivot to suggest the game be 18+ only. 500 days for that? 💀

I watched this "...500 day..." documentary on VRChat. As somebody who has been very critical of VRChat, I have to say Tupper's answers AND actions made me trust VRC staff and its investors more with the platform. Still don't agree with keeping that Discord mod, but overall I feel good about VRChat.

true, but they're not a major player anymore after banning adult content. might have changed, but when it first happened most users left and they never fully recovered. vrchat will never be in danger of that fate but sometimes their poorly thought out decisions seem like they really wish they could.
