No spoilers, but the way Insomniac has reframed the (inevitable?) potential Wolverine, Jean, Cyclops love triangle I find very intriguing. It’s definitely a departure but it has me very curious about possible future implications in their planned X-men game

GUYS!!! Insomiac did what I’ve been begging developers to do for YEARS! You know how many times I miss a line of dialogue for some reason from a scene and wish I could replay it without restarting game/level or going to watch it on YouTube? Wolverine GOTY!!! Haha

Doing a New Game + run of Wolverine has been fun. In particular, now that I’ve already seen the story, many of the scenes and dialogue have different context for me (since I have answers) which has been interesting

For anyone playing Wolverine who might not know like I didn’t… The nightmare doors have narrative reasons for existing and also if you complete them all getting bronze or higher, another wood carving called “Best There Is” appears. Get bronze on it & there’s a semi-secret post credit type treat

Just so we’re on the same page, talking about Wolverine. I started a New Game+ play through on the next to hardest difficulty. With all the level ups and me being used to combat, it feels pretty good. Beat first boss fairly easily.

I’m curious what happened to the leaked Jean Grey gameplay portion of Wolverine. As much as I enjoyed the game, it definitely could have used more content. Was it meant to be DLC? Did it not come together in a fun way? I like the idea of her having her own skill tree/unlocks like Faye in Ragnarok.

I’ve definitely seen a lot of negativity. Even ignoring the idiots & grifters, among various outlets & gaming people/journalists I follow, I have seen quite a few expressing disappointment. More than I feel with say the Spider-Man games. It definitely won me over though. Glad I stuck with it

In all of the Wolverine discourse I feel like something is seriously flying under the radar… Wolverine is probably the best looking console game I’ve ever seen at times. Like…holy hell it looks absolutely AMAZING during certain moments Just rolled credits & have thoughts but needed to get that out

I started off on the one just under the hardest. It started getting frustrating. Bumped it down one so I’m not sure, but I might be on the standard/default now. Much better. But like you said, now that I’ve leveled up more, I’m toying with bumping back up for some more challenge

Wolverine so far… Just got to Act 3. Man…I legit almost put this game down. Bumped difficulty down one & kept going. Now I’m having a MUCH better time. Combat has clicked more & enjoying (most) fights overall. There are some odd choices. At the moment feeling pretty positive overall

Wolverine VERY early impressions after a little over an hour. Maybe I suck at games but I put it on the difficulty just below the hardest & I’m NOT finding it easy. Yes, there’s a lot of square button. But I’m having to very much pay attention to parry, dodge, break shields, etc

I’ve literally never played a tactics game before. And I hardly ever play turn based games in general. If it could hook me like it did…I’d definitely recommend checking it out. Especially if you’re a Star Wars fan

Just rolled credits on Star Wars Zero Company. Man…that was easily one of the best Star Wars experiences I’ve ever had. Excellent game I couldn’t recommend highly enough. This is a crazy year for games but this is currently my personal GOTY
