At a workshop this afternoon & received great advice from someone I look up to, “find the interest…passion…drive it, even if it’s a stupid question at first…mine was ‘why are ancient doctors so weird?’.” Guess my diss. idea isn’t so stupid after all, “why can’t we prove ancient contagion theory?”

Last night, I got to explain what a bath bomb was to an older border control officer. He was fascinated that the color and glitter don’t stick to the user. I suggested that they’re great stocking stuffers, and he was thrilled by the idea. This made my day. 😄
