Only the designs are changing. Their personalities are still the same because we never released the one shot if anything we're expanding it. And That's all I'm gonna say on that 😁

No the 3 new mains aren't taking up screen time they play a big part of the story which is all I'm gonna say on that.

Ethereal Ink @mediaofthebad.bsky.social · 02/08/2026

We actually are adding 3 new main characters to this story and a couple of new side characters.

Ethereal Ink @mediaofthebad.bsky.social · 02/08/2026

2 of the main characters (the ones from this post) are the ones that are slightly changing...design wise as for their personalities those will remain the same

The whole story is getting a shift. Like I said this was originally a one shot that we decided to make into a full story. Meaning world building, character designs and giving it an actual plot.

The glow up basically means slight redesigns since our artist style has changed.

Just like the title both characters are getting a slight glow up 🤭

Before it was called "Death and Tea Time" it was "Late Night Chat". A story that was originally a one shot. Here are the OG designs of 2 of our main characters. #webcomic #studio #oc #artist

Yo a lil heads up Ethereal Ink will be dropping monthly short #webcomics starting next month in August. We’ll also be posting wips and a few mock up designs of our current comic starting next week. Our #discord is almost ready for the public and once that’s done our #Ko-Fi will be live too.

Ethereal Ink @mediaofthebad.bsky.social · 02/07/2026

That being said we're also announcing our Ko-Fi. Making comics is not cheap especially with the things we want to eventually put out. So our Ko-Fi is there to help fund those things. It'll be live the same day as our discord. #webcomic #artist #wecomicstudio #kofi #brandnew

It follows a college student named Rue, who forms an unlikely partnership with Death. This story will explore many different things like what Death was like when he was alive. It’s also the very first series in our own universe called the “The Friendverse”. It's a story we know y'all will love.

What happens when Death is looking for a successor and it just happens to be you? Oh did I forget to mention you're also his direct descendant. Happy to announce our brand new original series "Death and Tea Time".

Even though the project got cancelled we still wanted to show off the background art that @retrooactive.bsky.social made. Its everything we imagined and we can't wait to see what he makes for our newest project. We'll post more about that this Saturday. #webcomic #artist #webcomicstudio #art
