Stopped at #Doomies to pick up dinner and spotted this awesome sign next to the register:

A sign with a photo of different varieties of Jarritos drinks on a teal background. The wording on the sign reads:

“We have cold Jarritos! NO ICE required!”

The words “NO ICE” are large and emphasized so that the remaining words are barely visible.

Best way to get your mind off a layoff? Spend the afternoon nerding out at the Natural History Museum with some of your favorite people. ❤️

My favorite Thanksgiving tradition: getting up at the crack of dawn to watch the Macy’s Parade broadcast from New York (this year with multi-view!)

A television displaying three different views: Cynthia Erivo opening the parade with a song from Herald Square, a view from the back of a float riding alongside Central Park, and an overhead shot of Columbus Circle

We need a “They’re good dogs Brent” hoodie back in the shop to celebrate! What a missed opportunity! 😁

After almost 13 years together, @andrewdupont.net and I are finally doing the thing.

An image of my left hand, with a shiny, sparkly, gorgeous engagement ring on the ring finger.

This is my latest sculpt - a sort of steampunk sea urchin (the opening on the back is so that the finished casting, out of silicone, can slide over a one pound dive weight)

I’ve lived here for most of my life and somehow never been to the Hollywood Bowl before now. 😍

The coworking space I’m in today is a little on the witchy side. 😄🧙‍♀️🔮 #asabovesobelow (We have roofers making a bunch of noise at the house for a week - luckily we found a dog-friendly work space in Old Town Pasadena, CTRL Collective.)

A view down a greenery-lined staircase into an office space below. At the bottom is a sign in bright blue letters that reads “As Above, So Below”.

@marbor.bsky.social One more - a recipe book from the now-shuttered NYC restaurant Candle Cafe. This is probably the cookbook I turn to the most, for special occasions, or when I want to impress someone who isn't vegan. :D

The cover of the book "Vegan Holiday Cooking from Candle Cafe", featuring a tray with several vegan cheeses, crackers, figs and grapes, and cocktails in the background.

@marbor.bsky.social I've finally had a chance to get some pictures of my cookbook collection! :D I've got a few that I wanted to recommend - of these, the Erin McKenna baking books are the ones I think you'll really love!

A book cover for Erin McKenna's "Babycakes Covers The Classics" featuring a vegan, gluten-free cake donut dusted with pink coconut shreds.

The cover of Erin McKenna's first "Babycakes" cookbook, featuring several vegan and gluten-free chocolate cupcakes with chocolate icing.

My very random cookbook collection. Not all of these are vegan - some are historical, vintage, or regional (collected on my travels).

The first vegan cookbook I ever bought - it's old, but if you can find a copy, it's got the best zucchini bread recipe I've ever made.

A new sign for today’s #TeslaTakedown protest Side 1: “The only minority destroying the country are billionaires” Side 2 (the side facing the Tesla showroom, or for flipping over whenever a cybertruck drives by): “Cybertrucks are ugly af”

We were in Pasadena today, first at the #TeslaTakedown on one end of Colorado, then we marched down to the #HandsOff protest near city hall. (The last two pictures are of Andrew’s beautifully crafted sign.)

Me, at a protest, holding up a sign that says “Nazis” with a red circle and slash painted over it

A sign that reads: “Recession: when you lose your job because none of the president’s friends will tell him his ideas are stupid”

a sign that reads: “CONGRESSIONAL REPUBLICANS are hitching their wagons to an idiot”

One of the things I’m doing right now to get through it all is reading … like, A LOT. I’m also not buying anything new - if I can’t get it through Libby then it’s Thriftbooks. #books #reading #paulzindel #pinkskyPost

An ad I saw on Reddit today 🤣

Crop of an ad from the Washington Post/Trump propaganda mill that says “New administration in office. Same journalists holding power to account.”

They can’t stop talking about it because they’re trying to warn you not to use it. It is not safe to trust your reproductive data to the cloud. If you track, write it in a notebook.
