If there's no more room for asylum seekers, maybe stop accepting them? Most are not even real asylum seekers who flee actual violence and prosecution. Many come for economic gain or simply because they know that crime can pay here due to zero consequences from the authorities. Sad but true.

These protestors are not "unhappy students". I know its difficult for someone from the USA to understand, because no-one over there dares to "protest" this way because they would be instantly shot dead by the cops These are hooligans and thugs that happens to be young enough to still be in school.

You'd never see this in Europe. Politicians throwing a PR-stunt from something so mundane. Dear USA. Perhaps something worth thinking about? Normalize this via education. Don't make a show out of it. Some people will be put off and use the stunt footage for malicious purposes.

So, I finished the Firefall trilogy and I don't know what to think. Like, what is the point of book 2 and "book" 3? First one (Blindsight) is excellent, but kind of sucks than book 2 and "book" 3 (it's like one chapter long?!) is just a random story that does not advance what book 1 sets up.

Sanctions makes it illegal for companies to provide sanctioned individuals with services. All services basically run on US tech, including our banks. So if any EU company, with even the tiniest US connection doesn't comply the people in charge could be imprisoned if they ever visit the USA.
