On a different note, I played through Well Dweller this week. It's great! It's like Hollow Knight but if it wasn't sadistic. It's got tons of charm, and the difficulty is fair. It's rare for me to 100% a game, but I just had to with this. Best metroidvania I've played in a long time. I Recommend!

Proud papa moment here. My kid is in first grade, and they took their standardized tests in reading and math these past two weeks. She's in the 92nd percentile in reading and 96th in math. Granted that's Florida standards, but still.

It's been a few years since I booted up Binding of Isaac. I've bought it on literally every platform it was released on that I've owned since the Flash days. I booted up the Xbox version, then immediately went back to PC because it's pretty much unplayable without QOL mods these days.

I wasn't worried about Zach's Resident Evil film at any point. He's competently demonstrated that he understands horror and its beats, how to keep it moving satisfyingly, and how to properly, effectively, and appropriately inject humor into it. He knows what he's doing, and RE was in good hands.

Reading King Sorrow by Joe Hill, and I hate to say it, but I think it's going to be the weakest thing he's ever written. It starts off pretty strong, but it's starting to meander and I don't think it knows what it wants to be. Hopefully it'll recover, because dude is a remarkably talented writer.

I have a lot of love for literally everything Tim Curry did. But I'm going to praise something a little more obscure. He narrated the audiobook for the junior novel of Despicable Me, which was made into a Tonie, and introduced my daughter to his talent. She's going to be heartbroken.

The Man With Two Brains is on Tubi! It's hands down one of the funniest movies ever made. It was the third of four films in a row that Carl Reiner did with Steve Martin. Plus, it's the film that Jeffrey Combs did just prior to Re-Animator!

Partially educated guess: Trump has obstructive sleep apnea and refuses to use a CPAP. This is why he tweets at all hours and has daytime somnolence. He used to manage this with amphetamines, but he's got so many cardiac issues that he's been forced to stop using them.

Found my old VHS copy of Kiki's Delivery Service that I had bought back in 1998. Y'know, I really thought Sydney Forest was destined for big things after hearing her songs for the soundtrack. They're no longer in the modern releases. The entertainment industry is a real bastard.

So I found out that this is actually a port of a VR remake of The 7th Guest that came out a few years ago. I do like VR gaming, but it's expensive and my house has very limited space and isn't conducive to VR gaming. I have a Quest 1 that I haven't touched in years.

So I JUST found out that this is already out, and I've bought it. I LOVE this remake! It's a whole new way of experiencing The 7th Guest that modernizes it without disrespecting the original. It's not often remakes by unrelated studios show so much love for the game they're redoing.
