Took 6 years of watching and bidding in online letterpress auctions to finally acquire a proper reglet cabinet. This one manufactured by Geo. Damon & Sons (NYC). Really hoping this summer is the summer we get the garage studio organized and back in working order.

Wood cabinet with 44 slots for holding different lengths of thin wood strips used in letterpress printing.

Adding this to my very short list of things I’m most proud of during my graduate career. It was exactly what I needed during these difficult times and I could tell it was what they all needed too!

Dropped by @skeuomorphpress.org to check on @transbookhistory.bsky.social’s community print for Trans Day of Visibility & found it bustling, full of kids & families happily setting wood type & printing these incredible broadsides. If we founded Skeuomorph for anything it was for events like that

We’ve partnered with @skeuomorphpress.org and some local queer organizers to do a little ink slinging with trans youth this evening for Trans Day of Visibility. Can’t wait to see how they fill in the blank (inspired by @jsench.bsky.social’s “[blank] is a printer” demos with young folks) Stay Tuned!

That's right, (Pr)EmoTrans 3 is almost upon us! Join us and our mascot Doof Bat for a generous selection of Jesus vaginas, gay plants, trans Dominicans, sissies, circumcision reversals, and so, so many tranimals

Pulled some @meanwhilelttrpress.bsky.social prints out of the archive for today’s protest.

A print with blue and pink squares and rectangles with white text outlined in black that says “I YOU WE EXIST!”

A purple print with dark purple text that reads “We’re Still Here!”

We need to wrap up a few projects and then we’ll be printing new editions of these two prints. Stay tuned.
