I grew up in Florida so this was certainly the experience. I think the last big one here in the PNW was the Nisqually quake back in 2001 which was a 6.8, happy I wasn't here for that.

Holy crap! 3k for an ultrasound and tests? That should be illegal. And thank you, he's on a steroid pill to help with the inflammation in his lungs and will have another follow up in a week or so with his regular vet, hoping that won't be another $500 🤞

Had to take Echo to the emergency vet yesterday, 5 hours and $700 later we find out he has bronchitis. This is right after his last $500 visit for a full senior blood panel. I'm relieved it was nothing serious but holy hell these vet bills are out of control.

I feel so fortunate to have found a good therapist. I didn't start until later in life despite wanting to. And it's not as scary as I thought it would be but man, it's a lot of work. Start as soon as you can! Even if you don't have anything big to work through.
