My sourdough loaves aren’t always quite so photogenic, but they always taste good. This one just turned out extra pretty.

The best old girl, Zoe, went to her final nap peacefully last night. To the best of our knowledge, as she was an adult when she came to us, she was around 19 or 20. She demanded her bedtime treat and a cuddle and went to sleep and passed in the night, curled up […] [Original post on retro.pizza]

Very small, very powerful. I picked all of these this morning. (Along with some tomatoes and and basil and one squash.) #gardening

In other news: New Calf! This is the final calf of this season, which is always a bit of a relief, to know it’s all done. #QueerFarmer

We have passed into the time of having ALL THE TOMATOES. The cherries, especially, are going gangbusters. The slicing tomatoes are still mostly green, but there’s a ton of them. I’ve also started harvesting squash and chiles. The ollas aren’t enough for the […] [Original post on retro.pizza]

[CW: Pet Death] My very goodest biggest boy went to sleep this morning, fairly peacefully. He was 18.

I should post my partner’s kitten more often, because she is the most adorable thing ever. (Her name is Moira) #catsofmastodon #cats

It doesn’t always work as a distraction but sometimes the only way I can get anything done is to turn on cat tv.

The sky was such a pretty shade at dusk the other day and the tree shadows against it that I immediately thought “I want to paint that” and took a picture and then of course immediately forgot about it because that is how my brain works.

Despite everything going on, I suppose I can still giggle at my cat in one of these art scratchers.

I have a feeling this is relevant to interests here on the Pizza.

There is a lot of bad in the world, so here, have a Mootilda. She’s our first bottle baby since I inherited half the farm, and she loves cuddles and her bottle bucket. She does not like kings and dictators. #queerfarmer #cow #farming

Beautiful snow day on the farm, I may have seen it this deep once in my lifetime, and it’s still powdery and soft, 6 inches deep on flat land and deeper in drifts. We don’t usually get this kind of snow here. Fortunately, no power outages yet.
