The internet is such a confusing place There's a trend in anti surveillance subreddits (anti flock) where people who really hate having cameras in their communities are using AI to generate pictures of how to defeat the cameras And then they get mad when people say "please delete the slop"

Why aren't data centers built in already cold climates?

Might be a dumb question but I've been wondering. Why isn't the arctic full of data centers? Or Antarctica? It seems like putting them in the Southwest is drastically increasing cooling costs and effecting water resources in those areas. What am I missing? Is it just tax breaks and the lack of regulation that puts data centers where they are?
