I love this cover. The visual “feel” of it is so atypical of DC Comics at the time. Art by Jerry Grandenetti

Some of the statues and and figures I’ve picked up over the years, even if I’m not a statue or figure kinda guy. The Batman second to the left is new today. A gift from my wife. Batman is The Night! With lightning bolts behind him.

Doing some #comics reading with a cuppa hot tea this evening. This book really fascinates me. I’m looking forward to diving in. Also in hopes a second volume does appear.

Went to see this last night after an enjoyable Mexican dinner. I rated it 7/10. As a coming of age story for both Kara & Ruthe, it clicked pretty well for me. As much fun as Jason Mamoa was as Lobo, I don’t know that it really added anything to the story other than just seeing Lobo. Go see it

Watching some of this tonight. It’s a great older show. Edward Woodward was terrific in this.

I’ve been reading this collection and it’s silly, predictable, very much of its time, and at times comes across as a second rate Wonder Woman. In spite of all this, there’s a golden age charm to it all that I enjoy. It does have Shelly Moldoff and Johnny Craig art which is great.

I read all four of these today. It’s the four volume “Batman: Justice Buster” by Eiichi Shimizu & Tomohiro Shimoguchi It’s well plotted, nicely paced, and delves into what is Justice and how does Batman go about it. The manga creators here use quite a lot of Batman lore in this series. 4.5/5 ⭐️

Finished this today and made it to a 121 Day reading streak, according to @thestorygraph.com Read the Title Story after all the preceding stories was a real juxtaposition. We had a more down to earth, more human Batman, then Moore gives us this brutal Batman story with a hint of who we knew at 1/2

Here’s mine for this week. It’s kind of unusual in that it’s not a big name US comic, but a short lived translated series that originated in Italy, and has some 900 plus volumes there. We got six. It’s solid storytelling and i enjoyed the couple issues I could find at the time.

Spider-Man and it all started with this one. It was a direct result of seeing the 1967 animated series on TV with the great theme song and reused animation. It’s been a lifelong love of Spidey and comics.
