I had to send my contacts back yet again for a prescription fix. The original order was June 24th. This time the doc blamed it on difficulty dialing in my prescription. I guess starting age-related presbyopia combined with my -15 correction makes things harder.

I was woken up last night by a bat scratching at the attic door. It wasn't loud, but my brain sure attuned to it as something weird. We ended up taping the bottom of the door to change the air flow, and that seemed to work. Definitely looking forward to the bat guy doing his work. Nightmare fuel.

I picked up the newest book in the series in Feb, and I started reading this in Jan, hoping to get caught up, since it's been 5 years and all I can remember of what was going on was *major spoiler*. Then I got distracted. On to Battleground, which is just the 2nd half of this book.

Speaking of doing things for myself, I went to a concert Wednesday, where Aimee Mann played the entirety of her album Bachelor No 2. It was absolutely lovely. And I went and got a Conglomeration at Mickey's beforehand, hadn't had one in years.

This was in my local library under a "local author" display. 9yo wanted to read it, so I had to preview to make sure it wasn't too scary. Real ghost, but not scary, mystery, slow burn romance. I enjoyed it. 5272/5000 Yay!

Speaking of sexual content, I had been meaning to preview this book to give to 11yo. I was familiar with the authors from their webcomic, Oh Joy Sex Toy, and I really appreciated their informative and inclusive approach, and this book follows those values. It will be a good basis for discussion.
