I'm glad to see loads of 🐞 larvae on my hops. Hopefully this means two things. Firstly the aphids are done for and secondly we're in for a hot summer, although looking out the window I'm not so sure about that.

We had a very successful day on Sunday at @trackbrewingco.bsky.social picking and packing hops from our growers. We've collected 81.5kg so far with some more due this week 🍻

Handing out some hop plants at @trackbrewingco.bsky.social so it would be rude not to celebrate Sonoma's 10th birthday 🍻

Who fancies growing some of these this year? Last year we got 75kg from our growers around Manchester and @trackbrewingco.bsky.social turned them into lovely beer. This year we want more! If you want to join in get in touch 🍻

What better first post that a five year old Fuggle in full cone? For a sense of scale, the pergola this grows up is 2m high. This year 2kg of fresh hop cones were harvested from this one plant.
