Connor McNamara @mcnamara.dev · 07/04/2026I think it's a challenge Viewer shows 2 events today, the "cup" that's officially listed as a challenge, and a weekly; while other weeks show just a weekly, so today likely isn't a weekly? I wish big pika would help these newer stores to set up their events properly and use the correct terms 😅 110
Connor McNamara @mcnamara.dev · 28/03/2026Finals: WLL vs. Team Rocket's Honchkrow Same Honchkrow as R4, though it wasn't the only one in the room that night. This finals was so fun and close that it deserves a write-up not limited by the Bluesky character limit. WE FINISHED AT 2AM (7pm start time) 120
Connor McNamara @mcnamara.dev · 28/03/20262nd/18 at my local cup last night for Gardy's Last Dance! 3rd time reaching a cup finals, but we still haven't managed to close one out yet 😭 Unsleeving Gardy is going to be bittersweet; I've mostly hated this format, but Gardy's been the closest in the meta to a deck that I can enjoy playing 150
Connor McNamara @mcnamara.dev · 01/03/20262nd place (2-0-1) at one of my local shops' Pokémon Day GLC tournament with Metal! Iron Crown SSP the GOAT! Love playing this deck, even though Metal can be very inconsistent; I cannot wait for Chaos Rising to swap out the Metang line for Magnet Energy and Philippe 260
Connor McNamara @mcnamara.dev · 15/12/2025Work made me take a step back from the game this year; its been sad not to play at a level beyond locals since Baltimore last season! That being said, my locals are always great; they're the reason I keep playing this game, even in formats where I don't vibe with any particular deck 140
Connor McNamara @mcnamara.dev · 27/09/2025Matchups, which are absolutely worth a look at. Somehow, this cup only had ONE PULT and ONE GARDY. There were plenty of other Gholdengos in the room, but somehow didn't see a single mirror all night lol 120
Connor McNamara @mcnamara.dev · 27/09/20252nd/21 at my local store's cup last night, with Gholdengo! In what was easily the strangest cup I've ever played in (look at my matchups in the reply, trust me), this list felt super hot most of the night. This same 60 won me the challenge at this store 2 weeks ago too! PLAY IRON BUNDLE PROPAGANDA 181
Connor McNamara @mcnamara.dev · 14/09/2025Holy f*ck the prerelease was generous this time around Both Kangaskhan and Venusaur were in the build & battle kit, but no Bulbasaur or Ivysaur so I couldn't play the Venusaur 😭 070
Connor McNamara @mcnamara.dev · 31/08/2025Highlight of my Rookidee Community Day: this 1500CP Corviknight for PvP #pokemongo 050
Connor McNamara @mcnamara.dev · 24/08/2025Finished at 2-3 for 19th/24 Not bad for my first time picking up Gholdengo since rotation! Some inexperience with the deck definitely hurt, but not too badly; prizing and matchup rng definitely *felt* like the bigger issue today Also the prize packs (2 series 6 and a series 7) were decent! 030
Connor McNamara @mcnamara.dev · 24/08/2025Playing in my first League Cup of the new season today! Starting out at 0-1 due to prizing both the 4th Gimmighoul and Energy Search Pro. Took 2 prizes with the single prize Gholdengo, but couldn't draw the prizes I needed. Time to fight back! 1110
Connor McNamara @mcnamara.dev · 13/08/2025Post your favorite card from your favorite pokemon! I never really had a single "favorite" pokemon growing up, usually just a fairly small group of ones I really liked. Playing this deck almost exclusively for a year made the funny ice cat/weasel thing into my favorite. CPAO 🥶 🥶 🥶 1110
Connor McNamara @mcnamara.dev · 26/07/2025The circus is back in town! 3-0 last night at my locals' monthly Win-a-ETB! Hadn't touched this deck in 6 weeks, but last second decided to break it back out. Still love how it plays, but it's still missing that consistent set up/draw +1 White Flare ETB since I don't care for Prismatic #PokemonTCG 1100
Connor McNamara @mcnamara.dev · 31/05/2025Top 8 last night at a cup with the Copperajah Munkidori circus! Been playing with this deck a bunch this format for when I wasn't feeling gardy/pult, the matchups into both feel very favored when it doesnt lose to itself in setup 💀 +25 points for 110 this season. Not bad for only 4 cups this year! 140
Connor McNamara @mcnamara.dev · 05/04/20251st/22 at my final locals before rotation with Lost Box! Netdecked Dean's Stockholm list, with the exception of -1 poffin, +1 Manaphy. List felt incredible, produced exciting/close games, had an answer for nearly anything Boy am I going to miss Radiant Greninja (and the rest of CPAO's buddies 😭😭) 170
Connor McNamara @mcnamara.dev · 25/01/2025While everyone was prepping for San Antonio, I brought hit-and-run gators to locals tonight. 1-2 record, but was semi-competitive all 3 games. Deck is super fun when it gets to its target board, but definitely has consistency issues with getting/staying there. I'd love to hear people's suggestions! 180
Connor McNamara @mcnamara.dev · 04/12/2024Mostly unsurprised by spotify wrapped, save for the ordering of a couple of artists/songs. Probably just that I don't have *that* many listening minutes? Pop rock go brrrrrr 010
Connor McNamara @mcnamara.dev · 19/10/2024Not usually someone who posts much, but since this deck was so fun to play (and I want to see more PTCG content here): Went 0-0-3 at my local league with Okidogi! Hilarious that all 3 games go to time because none of my opponents knew how the deck played Sticker sucks, hit 0/5 heads all night 💀 281
