Hello! Dorset-based amateur, published photographer. I mainly take pictures of noisy mechanical stuff, so that’s mainly what you’ll get here, plus any random, cool bits I happen to see. All pictures are taken by me and are my © unless otherwise indicated.

Lamentably short guitar solo, though. So much potential, wasted.

Tom Stables photo from Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards 2016, titled Head Shot: a Cape buffalo looks at camera as a cattle egret stands on its head, looking left (in the image). The egret has shat on the buffalo, and an almost perfectly centred white stripe extends from between the bird’s feet and the buffalo’s horns down to a point between the buffalo’s eyes

#FighterFriday Spanish Tifón ripping up the sky at trans-sonic speeds. It's 5pm here in the UK, and that means it's beer o'clock. Have a good weekend Bluesters - I wish you sunshine and relaxation in copious amounts (and a Gloucester win against Leicester tonight). 🏉🍒⚪

Yes! The four should be icons of Britain: Sweep (dog), Bagpuss (cat), Basil Brush (fox) and Ermentrude (cow) get my vote 💪🏼

#WingsOnWednesday Not sure if it’s true, but I’m sure someone told me that this Qatari C-17 is the only one owned by a civilian organisation. It looks even bigger in white rather than the usual drab blue-grey.

Believe me, 55 is no picnic. Just as the kids fly the nest, parental decline takes over as the next biggest worry, ultimately culminating with the grief and trauma of their passing. It doesn't matter what age you're at, there's always going to be something that needs dealing with.

I love the way the club's bleating about the fact that the emails Der Speigel had were stolen, like that excuses the damning contents. So what if they're stolen? It's still evidence.

Most food tastes better a bit warmer rather than straight out the fridge. The cold suppresses the flavour. Tomatoes taste sweeter, meat has more umami, yoghurt tastes creamier, sweet things taste richer.

No chance. El Niño means mild, windy and very wet, and possibly an even hotter summer next year.

This is a BULLSHIT payoff. The plaintiff's legal team estimated a $200Bn penalty. Meta settled to avoid a case that would've publicly exposed their vile algorithms and they've done so by paying just 8% of their predicted hit. No wonder their share price increased 4% today - they pulled a fast one.

There was a fess only the other day where someone said they put the tv remote in their bum crack and cackled about who uses it next. Then it was pointed out that the guest before might have already done that so their bum crack sweat was in his bum crack and so on, and it all got a bit existential

It appears that after losing my job and my lovely mother-in-law a couple of months ago, now my father may not last out the weekend. I’d really rather not watch my father die but I do need to be there for my mum. Five hour drive to Manchester tomorrow then. 2026 is the year that just keeps on giving.
