it has taken me nine goddamned months of banging my head against the electronics, software, and hydraulics, and this pull isn't perfect, but it's pretty good, and I can pull like this consistently.

yesterday I made a vegetarian tourtiere for to bring to a friends potluck and everyone said it was really good

a pie in a glass pie dish on an absolutely filthy stovetop. it is golden yellow with scalloped edges and slashes in a cross design. there is a little pastry heart in the very centre of the top.

I might have fixed it, it seems like one or two fittings at the vacuum relief were loose? she's idling at the target 100kPa now, I'm going to do a test shot once she gets to temp

yesterday I made a pouf from scratch

the foot of a sewing machine with a piece of white fabric with zig-zag stitches along one edge

a half-circle of dark blue fabric made from pie-slice made pieces stitched together

a complete pouf, looking like a little beanbag; my feet are resting on it in running shoes and the croissant, a young ginger and white cat, is examining it with a distrustful expression

the eternal homie @lochann.bsky.social has given me the dream garage and then some

a photograph of a bookshelf full of 1/64 Hot Wheels and otherwise toy cars; in the centre a large diorama with internal lighting highlights my personal favourites: a Rover SD1 Vitesse, a BMW E30 325i Touring station wagon with M livery, an Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 Stradale, a BMW E30 M3, and a Buick Roadmaster station wagon. above the lighted diorama, display boxes show an SW20 Toyota MR2 with Martini livery, a DOME Zero, an Alfa Romeo GTV6 in GT2 trim, and an RWB 911. in the centre of the image, a miniature parking garage structure hold a Toyota Land Cruiser, an Alfa Romeo Giulia, an FC Mazda RX-7, a BMW E30 325i Touring station wagon, a Maserati Birdcage, a Toyota Land Cruiser in Japan Automotive Federation livery, a Toyota Land Cruiser pickup, a Hond N600 in a goofy sort of rallye trim, and a BMW 507.

I got a new toy last week and it rules. I've got a solo flight to Toronto next week and I'm going to be so entertained

a hand holding an Anbernic RG35xx H, a very small handheld game console with standard D-pad and four face buttons, and also twin analog thumb sticks. the screen is displaying the Nauru singing scene from the opening of Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages

I got done up for my partner's dance performance on Saturday and I've never taken a better selfie

what the fuck are you talking about, Instagram

screenshot of an Instagram DM from me. text reads: "I would love a manual lever machine. completely mechanical, unpowered machines like this have a reputation for being a bit fussy to manage temperature but something like a LaPavoni Europiccola or so would be fun". beneath the DM bubble, small grey text says "Tap and hold to imagine with AI. Try it"

Francisco has given his assent to my new desk

a brown tabby and white cat is sitting with folded paws on a wooden desk, lit by pinkish light from a dork-ass gaming PC. his expression is relaxed and curious.

I'm also a big fan of all of BMW's 90s UX design

the instrument cluster from an E34 BMW 5-series. it is unfussy and explicit, with a large speedometer with white text on black, an equally large tachometer, a fuel economy guage, fuel gauge, temperature gauge, and digital information display. there is nothing here that is not needed.

what's your perfect Nissan two-car garage

1991 Nissan Be-1, a Nissan March-based three door hatchback compact. it is bright yellow, has colour-matched steel wheels with black centrecaps, and adorable round headlights

1997 Nissan R390 GT1, a navy-blue supercar and LeMans Prototype homologation car; it has a very narrow racecar greenhouse and beautiful swooping body lines, with a crisp duck tail spoiler at the rear
