And volunteer work, research, and being well-rounded person matters. As does “banger“ of a personal statement. I wasn’t so great at taking tests either before medical school and I got in on my third try. 110

While often true, serious inflammatory diseases, such as Kawasaki disease and MIS-C, are highly associated with long term complications. 140
