The Boy From Space It was part of a children's educational program they showed us in school, and it completely freaked me out - I had to look away from the screen at times. Intensely creepy.

A dispiriting morning of job hunting, followed by a life affirming afternoon of writing. Issue 1 problems fixed, issue 2 tightened. ONWARDS! I'm at the stage where my step outline looks like that scene from the end of Close Encounters. It makes sense to me - that's the main thing 😁

My (heavily redacted) view - 5 bullet points for issue 2 of the comic, with half a dozen highlighter colours marking words in the text, as I check the rhythm for my story to make sure characters & themes are correctly spaced out.

I used to do this on index cards, but it's all on computer now

The Long Walk We were both nervous about watching this, as the novel messed us both up when we were kids, and King novels often have bad film adaptation. Oh boy. We were not ready. I think we held our best I for the entire film. Utterly gripping, and the right amount of nasty.
