This is what keeps the cost down for them. The UK once had coal a lot in the mix, and the cost of electricity was a lot cheaper then, but since coal is out now due to it not being available 100

This is why the wholesale price can vary from £60p/mWh up to £120p/mWh. (the latter being more oil used of course), the price also includes interconnectors. 100

Similar to underground thermal solutions - expensive but unlimited heat source, adds value. 000

People are just scared of change and make up stories to fit. It heats during winter and some cool the home during summer using a system similar to a fridge with coolant. Basically a smart air conditioner. 000
