I mean, I'm not a conspiracy theorist, so I have to say that the refs saw something that we didn't see. Until more evidence is out there (explanation of rules, different angle, or receipts), I have to say it was a mistake.

John McGee @mcgeejohn.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

Agreed. I'll take it, but I'd rather that Michigan pulled off the miracle due to a Western mistake, not a ref mistake. I'd love to hear their reasoning for granting Michigan another play.

John McGee @mcgeejohn.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

#Michigan was given that win by the refs. I am a #UM fan (and #Western hater, as a Central fan), but I feel bad for those Western kids. They were robbed.

If this first half is any indication, it's going to be a long season in Ann Arbor. #goblue #michigan

This season is the Twilight Zone.

John McGee @mcgeejohn.bsky.social · 07/07/2025

I get why Torkelson isn't going, but he deserves an AL spot. Best power hitting 1st baseman in AL, and it isn't even close. But, no room for him.

000

John McGee @mcgeejohn.bsky.social · 20/06/2025

But yes, I 100% agree on the pen, as well. Hilton and Brieske not performing like they did last year is hurting. I have faith that they'll bring in a reliever or two, though. I don't have faith that they'll pull the trigger on a starter, and I think that's just as important for October.

John McGee @mcgeejohn.bsky.social · 20/06/2025

The Olson and Jobe injuries are really highlighting our lack of starting depth. What do we do if we lose Flaherty or Mize this week, which aren't unrealistic scenarios based on their pasts? Matt Manning? We need a mid-rotation guy, if for no other reason than to improve our depth.

John McGee @mcgeejohn.bsky.social · 20/06/2025

It's time, @tigers.bsky.social . Go out and get another starting pitcher. Don't wait. #tigers

Daikin Park is a beautiful stadium, and I would love to catch a game there. But it's a joke of a stadium from an actual baseball perspective.

010

John McGee @mcgeejohn.bsky.social · 25/04/2025

#Knicks coach needs to admit defeat and just shave his head.

000

John McGee @mcgeejohn.bsky.social · 13/04/2025

Not a Vol fan, even though I live in Tennessee. But UT did right in the Nico case. I'm all for players getting paid, but there has to be some type of policing of it. What that is, I don't know. A salary cap? Actual contracts signed? I'm not smart enough to know, but I do know this will hurt NCAA.

John McGee @mcgeejohn.bsky.social · 12/04/2025

Sometimes, I still try and run.

000

John McGee @mcgeejohn.bsky.social · 09/04/2025

Yzerman gets one more year. He's done a great job rebuilding the system as a whole, but it's past time to make a few moves and get back into the playoffs in 2026. #redwings

I got rid of my Twitter. Now we just need to convince others to do the same.

John McGee @mcgeejohn.bsky.social · 19/03/2025

Are the Tigers giving Navigato a look at 3rd? I realize he's a long shot, but he hit last year in AAA, and is hitting in ST this year. I have no idea how he is with the glove, but I think he's worth at least a look...

John McGee @mcgeejohn.bsky.social · 16/03/2025

#goblue! Can't wait to see where Michigan is seeded. Bring on March Madness!

I'm not proud to admit that I downloaded that game because of you guys... But I am liking it!

It's more like, Fire Ready Aim.

000

John McGee @mcgeejohn.bsky.social · 27/02/2025

If he can stay healthy, the sky is the limit for Riley. I worry about his ability to stay healthy, though.

000

John McGee @mcgeejohn.bsky.social · 22/02/2025

I have thought about running, but as a public school teacher going for my administrative license in a deep red county/state, I wouldn't win and I would destroy my career. I'll revisit once I retire.

000

John McGee @mcgeejohn.bsky.social · 18/02/2025

Bring it! Though it looks like the anticipated totals have come down a bit.

000

John McGee @mcgeejohn.bsky.social · 17/02/2025

Won't surprise me if this ends up tracking north, if for no other reason than all our storms this year seem to track north into KY.

You know spring training is back when the stories of hope start coming out!

Welcome back to Detroit, Flaherty! If he's anywhere close to his 2024 version and health is on Detroit's side, I'm feeling good about 2025.

John McGee @mcgeejohn.bsky.social · 02/02/2025

The first day of feeling back to normal after several days of being so sick that you can't even get off the couch is a small joy that we don't talk about enough.

000

John McGee @mcgeejohn.bsky.social · 31/01/2025

Loved promoting Sheppard. Was hoping for Engstrom for OC for continuity sake. I imagine Goff had some input in that decision.

040

John McGee @mcgeejohn.bsky.social · 31/01/2025

Congrats to Cade! Make Detroit proud!

000

John McGee @mcgeejohn.bsky.social · 31/01/2025

No Matt Vierling? Why do you hate the Tigers?!?!? /s

000

John McGee @mcgeejohn.bsky.social · 27/01/2025

I love baseball, but they need to change their off-season model. It's insane that sprint training is weeks away, and legit stars are still looking for a home. Imagine if Patrick Mahomes was still a free agent two weeks prior to training camp opening.

000

John McGee @mcgeejohn.bsky.social · 27/01/2025

When is it time to start debating if Mahomes is the new GOAT over Brady?

010

John McGee @mcgeejohn.bsky.social · 27/01/2025

But for the record, I'm tired of the Chiefs, too. I was really pulling for Buffalo.

010

John McGee @mcgeejohn.bsky.social · 27/01/2025

One difference: the Chiefs drafted and developed most, if not all, of their core. The Dodgers are buying everyone in free agency. People are usually OK with sustained success if it's done through developing. Take Lebron. If he had stayed in CLE his whole career and won 6 titles there, fewer haters.

Welp, I'm officially moved in here. Had enough of Elon.

000

John McGee @mcgeejohn.bsky.social · 23/01/2025

Oh, nice. You're here, too. Dumping Elon's crapfest now.

010

John McGee @mcgeejohn.bsky.social · 23/01/2025

This account is literally the only reason I've stayed on Twitter. So long as you guys are here, too, I can now happily drop Elon!

John McGee @mcgeejohn.bsky.social · 21/01/2025

Good luck in Chicago, Ben Johnson! Except when you're playing Detroit, of course. Now what coaches does he bring with him, is the big question?

000

John McGee @mcgeejohn.bsky.social · 20/01/2025

It's time for the Tigers to have serious discussions regarding Skubal. Will they be able to resign him? Boras likely won't advise him to sign an early extension, so then Detroit will be competing with the Dodgers, Yankees, and everyone else for him as a FA. Do they trade him??

000

John McGee @mcgeejohn.bsky.social · 19/01/2025

This is stupid. Baseball is broken. If they don't institute some type of salary cap and salary floor, baseball will be losing some fans in the small markets that they need to be trying to grow. #fixbaseball

I'm struggling with that Lions loss last night. But hey... Only 20 days until pitchers and catchers report!

000

John McGee @mcgeejohn.bsky.social · 15/01/2025

If it's gonna be that cold, we better get the snow with it!

010

John McGee @mcgeejohn.bsky.social · 13/01/2025

The Lions get the Commanders next week. Thoughts? I'm always worried when the Lions face a QB who can run, but I do think this was the best outcome for the Lions. Can't wait for Saturday night!

John McGee @mcgeejohn.bsky.social · 09/01/2025

I "volunteer" at those events to fundraise for my daughter. It's actually kinda fun, and while the pay isn't amazing, it's tax free. The only money we get is the tips, and who wants to tip on a $13 beer?

020

John McGee @mcgeejohn.bsky.social · 09/01/2025

I stop paying attention to both the Pistons and the Red Wings, and they both snap off 5 game win streaks and get in position to make playoff runs. Guess I need to keep ignoring them for a bit longer, if it's helping them win!

030

John McGee @mcgeejohn.bsky.social · 09/01/2025

I'm not saying that the Rays aren't cheap, but living in Nashville, I've done concessions for Titans, Predators, Sounds, and a few of the concert venues around town. That's pretty much standard operating procedure at all of those venues.
