what are your funniest misheard song lyrics? two of mine that crack me up:

haven’t had any time to work on this in ages but got to do a tiny bit today. still pretending the left side isn’t there.

Textile abstract art piece with spacey vibes made with hand and machine stitching and bits of circular cut felt sewn onto a felt background. The colours used are a kinda dark magenta, peacock blue, and mustard yellows. The left side is really weird and the artist has no idea what she’s doing.

still plugging away at this. i have no idea what’s going on on the left side but im digging the right. its not all attached yet, just playing with placements.

An abstract artwork in progress with a spacey vibe of felt and embroidery in teal, yellow, and magenta on a background of magenta felt.

daily feather. from a galah maybe?

A very small pink and soft grey feather being held up in front of a maidenhair fern that could probably use some water.

one thing about australians is that they all pretend to love cricket but then spend the 3-5 days of the boxing day test just napping on the couch while fiercely guarding the remote control.

i had a social event yesterday. and i have one today. and one tomorrow. for anyone keeping score, that’s three. in a row! it’s too much social! I’ll need to hermit for two weeks just to get back to baseline.

in typical me fashion, the more i do the less satisfied i get. #wip

Close cropped photo of stitched abstract artwork on felt. The base fabric is teal and the stitching is done in white, teal, and mustard coloured thread. There are some teal felt circles and mustard and turquoise felt balls placed temporarily on the piece.

mucking about with felt and thread. the felt circles and balls aren’t stitched on yet, just seeing how i feel about it. need some mustard embroidery thread. will probably add beads because i’m wild and crazy. #WIP

A piece of teal blue felt with lines and arcs stitched in white and teal thread. Teal felt circles and mustard coloured felt balls have been placed on top in no specific pattern.

one thing i do to ensure my own mental wellbeing, as well as that of those around me, is blocking morrissey/the smiths from any music streaming service i have access to. just doing my part.

a quirk about yourself that you think is cute but probably drives everyone around you crazy? mine: i find feathers and then just leave them anywhere i spend time.

small feathers and a jawbone in the bedroom

how my brain works: decide i want to onebag my next trip home. spend the next 7 days researching the perfect setup. fear making the wrong decision. buy nothing. spend 3 days being stressed about it and not sleeping. decide on the very first thing i looked at. worry that i made the wrong choice.

i was driving to the gym and suddenly my phone connected to my car stereo and started blasting “I Adore You” by Tom Navine and it was so hectic and i tried to make it stop but instead dropped my phone under the seat so i had to find a spot to pull over because i thought it would make me crash

i’m out of decaf (normally i do 50:50) so i had to have full regular espresso this morning and it’s like it doesn’t work the same in me as it does other people. i’ve not felt this tired in ages and also i cannot think properly. it is not enjoyable.
