And then the part that should stop everyone cold. On Saturday FDA reported that a sample of shredded iceberg lettuce supplied by Taylor Farms de Mexico had tested positive
for Cyclospora - collected at the border during targeted import surveillance, as a result of this very investigation. Taylor Farms confirmed the positive product is not part of its current recall. The lot is detained, and the company is still working out whether any of it reached commerce or people's kitchens. Read that twice. The parasite turned up on product still being shipped into this country, outside a recall the company itself drew, after that same company told the public this traced to one independent farm and represented under one percent of the U.S. iceberg supply. Either the recall is scoped too narrowly or the contamination is broader than one farm. Credit where it's due for finding it - now tell us where the rest of that lot went.

I’ve only skimmed part of it so far and its arguments are contradictory, like a group project made by students who disagree about what the book actually said But some of the insider baseball is compelling, like this description of how the White House pushed Kamala off a glass cliff:

Prior to the midterm election, the White House directed the DC to conduct polling to identify how Dr. Biden could support her husband as president. The research explored the settings, the issues, and the messages needed to create an effective framework.
No similar research was conducted to support the Vice President - to identify the issues she should talk about, the ways in which she should talk about them, the audiences with which she could perhaps resonate and support the President's agenda. There was also no independent research of the Cabinet.
The White House's approach towards elevating the Vice President with a controversial issue brief without leveraging research into understanding how taxpayers and voters would react to the messengers of the Democratic administration was a massive missed opportunity.

An incumbent Vice President. With no research to share once she became the nominee.
The White House did not position or prepare the Vice President. Had the White House explored and evaluated ways to leverage Kamala Harris earlier in the administration, perhaps it would have improved the President's standing, and it certainly could have helped prepare her to lead the ticket.

Dariel Gonzalez, the College Republicans' recruitment chairman at the time, responded in the chat: "How edgy."
"Ew you had colored professors?!" Gonzalez wrote at another point. "I reguse [sic] to be indoctrinated by the coloreds." He told the group he used the term "colored" because, "I was told we cant say black anymore." A couple days later, he added:
"Avoid the coloreds like the plague." He did not respond to a request for comment.
The group chat members - which included some women - also frequently discussed sex, sometimes describing women as "whores" and at one point using the k-word, a slur for Jewish people, to describe women they avoid.
Gonzalez said, "You can f-k all the [k-word] you want. Just don't marry them and procreate." Ian Valdes, the Turning Point USA chapter president, responded, "I would def not marry a Jew."
A few minutes later, Valdes changed the group chat's name from one that included a slur for people with disabilities, "Uber [r-word] Yapping," to "Gooning in Agartha."
Gooning is a slang term for male masturbation. Agartha, a mythical white civilization promoted by the Nazi politician Heinrich Himmler, has been repopularized by the young online right.
Gonzalez described Agartha to the group chat as, "Nazi heaven sort of," and Valdes explained it, "esoteric nazism essentially."
