The Senate reconciliation bill is hundreds of pages of text that is not meaningfully different from the disastrous House bill that rips healthcare and food away from families. It’s basically rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. And just like with the boat, the rich escape the harm.

“Pausing grants” sounds clinical. So let’s be clear about what it means. It means many small businesses & service providers won’t be able to make next month’s rent, destroying livelihoods. It means families will lose their child care It means public health and safety will be compromised.
