@npr.org @steveinskeep.bsky.social interview this AM blamed Dems passing the ACA expiration as a timebomb. Dems passed the ACA the only way they could, with a clause that said it would be renewed. They hoped it would become something voters loved and it would become permanent, not as a “timebomb”.

Historically (over 74 years) that was not the case. Hamas openly called for genocide, Israel wanted peace. Netanyahu needs to go. He gives in to extremists and I don’t see a good ending.

The extremes on both sides are wrong. They both are willing to say that eliminating their adversary in one way or another is the goal. For Hamas that’s Jews. For some Israelis it is eliminating Hamas (not necessarily Palestinians) and for some Israelis they would like all the land for Israel.
