While these aims are clearly laid out in Project 2025, I'm astonished that (1) they have enough support from Republicans who must realize the long-term consequences of this pillage, and (2) industry has been so thoroughly cowed into silence as their pipeline of innovation and personnel is destroyed.

I have always loved public libraries, but having young children has exponentially increased my gratitude and sense of indebtedness to them. Our local library is such a huge part of our lives. The books, the programming, the very intentionally curated kids’ section. It’s all such a gift.
