Often in #horse world I hear people say “they’ve got to learn” or a variation… I wonder: what do you need to learn (from the horse), for the horse to be able to learn? Why do they need to learn? What is our behaviour and what’s it causing the horse to do? How can we be clearer & kinder?

A beautiful little Peanut hoof. Shoeing is for our convenience not theirs, so the fluffs (Peanut and Gin) are #metalfree: #barefoot and #bitless. Peanut suffered from severe laminitis and slipper-feet. With a species appropriate diet, more movement and good trimming, his feet now look like this 😎

Does anyone else find supermarket shops totally overwhelming? Buying ethically and actual responsibly caught fish is impossible - even the expensive brands are often 'either line caught or trawler.' I run a monthly writing retreat. We always start with breathing & stretches and do it again mid-way. At the end of the day it is the best reminder to write down our achievements of the day and chunk tasks for next time. These are my most productive days - I need to remember that!

Not a minute wasted today! Rode Gin and led Peanut: focused on some pony yoga in walk. Led a writing retreat, had some lunch on the go, prepped TESOL MA seminar, had a meeting, taught seminar, tutored my secondary school English student and then back to feed the ponies. Now: herbal tea, book & bed.
