I received a criticism regarding my general art style and coloring, so I kept those pointers in mind and made the line colors darker and less excessive as it was said to look distracting, which I will be doing moving forward for all chibis/semi-chibi art!

I already finished the lineart + base colors of the first YCHs so all I needed to do was to slap the hair/any head details for samples but ended up redoing the whole thing. I do think the new one looks better, and started using vector lineart + layer for everything since then...

There are so many rendering styles that have popped up during the years I stopped drawing, and seeing them everywhere makes me feel like my style is very outdated, and not in a nostalgic way.. I want to use the October prompts as a way to study different styles as I go about learning again.

Personal condiments ranking: 1. Wasabi 2. Mala (the electric, numbing sensation is almost as good as wasabi) 3. Hainanese ginger scallion sauce (you don't need side dishes. Just this and rice is good enough!!) 4. Chili oil 5. Gochugaru 6. Crushed raw garlic 7. Wholegrain mustard

Back when I used to go to buffets, the very first thing I’d do was head straight to the sashimi station. I'd load up on salmon and uni, grab a big dollop of wasabi, and be on my merry way. The creamy raw salmon texture paired with gritty, sharp wasabi is just way too addictive!!

Plus it doesn’t spike your sodium like other sauces do. I used to eat a lot of hot sauces, but the intense rush that goes straight from your sinuses to your head from wasabi is unmatched compared to just the tongue burn and prickly sweat from regular hot sauces.

Wasabi tastes so good with dry meats especially, but since eggs are way cheaper, I just boil an egg, mix it with wasabi, and eat it with double the rice. Works with chicken breast too since it’s the cheapest cut! For those with low spice tolerance, the extra rice buffers it out pretty well.

I had to switch programs midway while coloring her hair because the custom brushes I had in SAI couldn't be exported to CSP. I open this file every time I'm drawing her (now because I'm doing my Halloween YCHs) and feel like a different person drew this because of the contrast to my current art!

I got Vodyanitsa at 26 pity, it's insane how lucky I got!! I love how her face is drawn, because the rounder features make her look more moe compared to newer models with sharper shapes. There's a batch of Halloween YCH bases coming up so I wasn't able to prefarm her mats, but I'm not in a rush!
