As I've said I'm not talking about the bigots. I'm talking about those who are not as informed as us, the people who love the ACA and hate "Obamacare" because they don't pay attention, they don't read the news, they don't know. If they regret their mistake, listen and help inform them. Recruit.

That's not the kind of person I'm talking about. A better comparison is August Landmesser, who joined the Nazi party in 1931 hoping it would lead to a job. He realized his mistake. This is believed to him five years later, refusing to salute Hitler. He was later imprisoned and died in 1944.

Absolutely not. Those aren't the people I'm talking about. I'm talking about people who were badly informed, realize they were wrong, and admit that they made a mistake. Alienating people is how you lose elections. I believe that informing people will lead many away from the Republicans.

Respectfully, think of all the people benefitting from the Affordable Care Act who absolutely abhor "Obamacare". Not everyone is as informed as you and I are. If they actually realize they made a mistake, that's the time to bring them in and get them informed. They can help us build that spine.

People make mistakes, even big mistakes. But if they admit those mistakes and admit that they were wrong, they can be allies. Growing a spine is great, but I don't think it means much if you're in the minority. I don't think alienating people is going to help. My $0.02 anyway.

From what I've seen, real Trumpists make up only about 30% of voters. These are the die-hards who are with him no matter what. Trump got nearly 50% of the vote, which means normal people were swayed. These are the people who are now showing some concern, and Democrats need those people back to win.
