Andor is the best Star Wars series Disney+ has made, but there are significant caveats to that. The Mandalorian is a good show, but there are significant caveats to that. Obi-Wan Kenobi exists. Ahsoka is just bad.

Seeing the show runner of Power Rangers seem so genuinely detesting of Tokusatsu so far as to say that they would laugh at the Japanese footage is very disheartening. There is love and craftsmanship in these stories and Tokusatsu, like animation, is a genre not exclusive to any one demographic.

I’m GENUINELY interested if the trite dialogue, stiff acting, mundane camera work, and vapid- *nothing* plot is an INTENTIONAL emulation of George Lucas’ writing/ directing style from the prequels? Or if this is just genuine and unironic BAD FILMMAKING? Either way, Ahsoka is ROUGH.
