There’s another stretch of Houston that has a significant number of palm trees and are overlooked. It hasn’t been trimmed and I have often wondered what’s the story in those tree on the feeder road of I-45 from downtown to Scott St.

Went to the Houston Cougars Football Fan Fest on Friday. It was great to see every single UH football player there. People complained they didn’t get enough communication about it. I didn’t notice. All I know is these things will get bigger and bigger and more crowded.

Went to a Wal-Mart in Katy, TX, the one in Grand Parkway and Morton Rd. to be exact around 6:30 pm Tuesday. Had the door locked at the side with the outdoor plants. Had to ask for them to open it. Not sure how long it’s been since plants have been watered. No shade cover to protect plants.

Went to the HEB in Rosenberg, TX and saw what looked like Vitex trees on the median at the street leading to the store. More places should start using trees like this. I’d like to see more Texas Redbuds being used.

Bought this Vitex plant(tree/shrub) today from Wal-Mart for $5. Looks like there are 4 plants in that one pot. Going to separate them and see if I am successful growing them.

I don’t think it was a complaint about nobody being in Downtown, by the Japanese visiting city. I would think it is more of an observation. I just feel people take for granted what they are accustomed to seeing all the time. There’s so many good things about Houston.

Went to Wal-Mart on Morton Rd and Grand Parkway in Katy, had a lot of plants that looked like they were dying. Store should mark them down more so people will buy them. Noticed there was no shade on top which probably isn’t helping because all the plants are getting direct sunlight all day long.
