For availability FireRed and LeafGreen are still solid choices especially if you're allergic to emulators. If you do Violet i'm sure some kinda pokemon freak will help you come up with a new ruleset to get past the changes though.

Crystal if you want classic Pokemon, Heartgold/Soulsilver if you can stomache gen 4 and Black/White if you wanna experience the pokemon franchise at it's best. Emerald and Platinum are honorable mentions and you can't go wrong with them. If you wanna play the Gen 1 games go Firered and Leafgreen.

The controls to Brandish are funny to me as someone who has played more than a few very old RPG's it's just third person wizardry really. Very little difference from Akalabeth/Ultima except for perspective lol

Stuff like this is why i have such a hard time jumping into the Resident Evil games because i might be down to play a single old PS1 horror game but i'm not going to play five in a row followed by the remakes which i can supposedly only REALLY appreciate with the context of the originals.

For KH1 i got burnt out pretty quickly after beating it. I played the starting world of 2 and realized i didn't want to play these games back to back. That was half a decade ago now and i still don't feel ready.

I feel like this is my problem with most big franchises now you can't just jump in and get the "intended experience". Now you have to gain an insurmountable backlog debt and marathon entire franchises until you get too burnt out to really care about the latest release anymore.

I think it's underappreciated how Cyclonus and Galvatron's entire dynamic is an inverse of Starscream and Megatrons. On one hand you have someone competent feverishly devoted to a psychopath hellbent on total destruction, the other a competent leader who keeps excusing a maniac for Some Reason.

I think theorists are also too good now. Like as someone who is media obsessive thanks to AuDHD i totally get and am partially a part of this problem but we kinda solved most of the mystery It wasn't a puzzle in need of solving but in trying to anyway we stopped seeing the forest for the trees.

Every chapter is recontextualized by the presence of the next one. Like what CH4 was doing for example, i was kinda against the shop being a dark world cuz it feels like a step down in escalation from CH4 but now it's more clear ch4 is a glimpse into the endgame.

I personally love the slowburn stuff going on. Stuff is moving subtly, the weird gaster/freedom part of girl next door is very blatant in Festival. There were other things i won't list but people complaining about filler i feel have a fundamental misunderstanding of what deltarune as a game is.

Rumble was the MVP for season 1. Megatron's second in command is constantly trying to sabotage the team, his OTHER second in command is stuck doing desk work on cybertron and up until he finds a bunch of weird bugs his best fighter is a fourth the size of most of his enemies. His army are Cameras.

So much love put into a lifeless thing... I was always very kind to my toys and even in plays of extreme violence i treated them like delicate beloved actors. Dogs and nephews got to most of 'em anyway in the end. I really like this comic and i'm glad to remember my own little broken warriors!
