Waaaahhhh that means so much to me 🥹🫂 I really didn't expect Tapas to be the place people discovered my webcomic on. It really is so hard to let it go. I won't even read on webtoons, that interface is so anti-creator it's crazy. I'd like to believe I'd go where readers go but I won't go there 😅

Thankfully I do have a website and I've been putting off transferring everything to my ComicClerix account, but Tapas was where readers found my webcomic without me having to do promo for it. I love the readers there and idk how to give them a place to read the comic that mimics that experience

I think the pacing adjusts a little to offer some moments of levity. I think it signals to the audience they can breathe a little as we're gearing up to a moment they might have perceived as scary.

For me the scare and the comedy kind of go hand in hand. Sometimes it starts as a joke that becomes scary and other times it starts as a scare that I realize is funny with all the context. In this case, I thumbnailed it as horror, but found the humor when I put all the pieces together.

Crucially, the GLOVE has limitations, chief among them that for the device to work effectively and deliver its restraining pain shock, it must come into contact with the subject's bare skin. According to Compliant Technologies, the gloves won't work through dry clothing or thick hair. The gloves will work, however, if the subject is wearing thin, wet clothing, such as soaked T-shirts or blouses. The GLOVE also does not like being dunked in water and will likely be rendered inoperable if this happens.

I write and draw most of my own comics work, and I don’t really make a distinction between the writing and the drawing because they’re both the writing. The words are the text, and the images are the text. They both impart meaning in the same brush and breath. That’s pretty settled!
