I met this guy who wants me to inquire about every thing he does. Like are we fucking twelve? For example, he asked what I had for dinner. I tell him. he says “I made chicken, you want to see how they turned out?” I said sure. He goes “why didn’t you ask then?” And it’s like this with EVERYTHING.

I’m saying all that to say, if you think I’m going for anything just because I’m not a size 2, wrong. On the other side of the coin, there are plus-size women who didn’t experience that, and for some, that led to men thinking they deserved whatever treatment they got because they’re fat.

Also, when it came to dating, I didn’t feel a way about it because all my life my mama told me I was that girl, lol. Every guy I ever wanted, the feeling was mutual and the energy was reciprocated. I had boyfriends, I went to prom, I went on dates. I was good.

As a plus-size woman whose weight has fluctuated my whole life, my mama never let me feel down or out about my size. I was in cheer, I was in dance, I did all the things. I wore the clothes I wanted. I think the way she parented me kept me from being insecure and having body issues…right.
