The first gen Bolt has a chronic problem with the steering rack getting stiff. Common opinion is that the factory grease is insufficient or goes bad. Most replace the rack or try to regrease it by removing the boots. Strangely I've never seen anyone try to install a zerk despite how easy it is.

Quick and simple project, but I'm really happy with how it turned out. I needed a mount for my Nest thermostat on the PTAC unit that serves an addition of the house. A simple lofted design turned into a nice and compact mount.

A friend's cousin sold me the first album of The Presidents of the United States of America. I'm pretty sure he didn't like the album and made it sound like the best thing since sliced bread to convince me to buy it. Still one of my favorites.

What people don't ask is, "why are we growing crops in the desert?" It's because there's a ton of sunlight and favorable growing temp. Take alfalfa, you can get 6-8 cuttings annually. Anywhere else is half or less. It is certainly a big consumer of water, but also our highest producing regions.

More house improvements, yay! With the addition that was added to the rear of the house, the attic was severely under vented. Four soffit vents served about 1500 sqft. I added forced ventilation which needs way more vents, hence everything white is new. It feels like a bit much.

I was chasing a low power problem on the Isuzu when I found the fuel pressure regulator is adjustable. Handy! Recommended factory range is 42-55 psi and I ended my drive yesterday at 40. Hopefully this will at least confirm a few thoughts, but I suspect I may need to dig into the fuel pump also.

The irony is there are already no-frills tractors out there; every manufacturer has them. It's not until you get into 180+ hp that options get limited. Everyone hates downtime, but they also generally like the features and automation a modern tractor offers for those 8+ hr days.
