Do you actually think I don't know this? Social Security is "socialist" by nature, and I'm not against it. For that matter, public roads, the US Mail, and a lot of other things have elements of socialized origins. But that doesn't mean EVERY aspect of life needs to be Govt funded.

The Constitution does NOT give the FedGov the right to spend tax dollars on welfare, healthcare and most other forms of charity. I'd rather we pay less taxes and give people more money in their pocket, with which they can donate to charitable causes. THEN we will see who is who...

now imagine that 30-40% lost in fraud was put into legit purposes. But also... the Constitution does NOT give the FedGov the role of Charity in Chief. I firmly believe that MOST charitable activity should be through private institutions. Mainly because private orgs are FAR more efficient...

I'm not saying these programs need to be cut universally. My point is that charity to ones neighbor does not mean we need to import masses of people from dysfunctional societies so that they can drain the fiscal budget even more. Case in point: thousands of bogus daycares defrauding you and me.
