my shiny haul for #PokemonGOFest2025! its more than ive ever got in one of these cause i played my lil heart out despite the heat and flying ants, very happy!! particularly proud of flabébé, oranguru, passimian and pikachu! wish i got skiddo/pachirisu/torkoal/frigibax but thats okay!

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 24/02/2025

took me two failed trubbish sos chains to realise that both of the initial ones that i encountered have sticky hold so it wouldn't let me give them a leppa berry at the start, so they eventually struggled 😭

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 20/02/2025

i can really get shinies when i lock in, 14 targets today inbetween xy, sm and usum

Shiny Starly, Staravia, Staraptor, Bidoof, Bibarel, Kricketot, Kricketune, Shinx, Luxio, Luxray, Budew and Roserade in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

Shiny Cranidos, Rampardos, Shieldon, Bastiodon, Combee, Vespiquen, Burmy, Wormadam, Mothim and Pachirisu in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

Shiny Buizel, Floatzel, Cherubi, Cherrim, Shellos (West) and Gastrodon (West) in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 04/02/2025

next up on max's struggle for the final few gen 4 shinies - shaymin encounters in bdsp are slowwwww, i wish i had two setup so i can multihunt it cause damn 2.5k in 26 hours?? please shaymin you're so cute let this be over soon

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 31/01/2025

finally, after 1922 masuda method eggs, i got my shiny cherubi. there is no good reason why this took so long. welp, only shieldon, bastiodon, shaymin and arceus remain for my gen 4 shiny dex #ShinyPokemon #Pokemon

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 30/01/2025

normally i consume pokemon leaks like crazy when a new game is coming up, but i think i'm going to try and avoid plza leaks this year, as long as i know whether or not theres a shiny indicator in the overworld, i dont need anything else

010

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 30/01/2025

~1400 encounters into a masuda method (1/512) shiny hunt. why am i being treated like this why does cherubi hate me ;-; #ShinyPokemon #Pokemon

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 27/01/2025

now that we are a month away from what will presumably be the first proper plza trailer, this is my predictions for the pokedex! im not convinced of the last row, but the other 350 are pokemon im guessing will be in the game! #Pokemon #PokemonLegendsZ-A #PokemonLegendsZA

A table of 363 Pokémon, mostly from the original Pokémon X & Y Kalos Pokédex, and a couple extra new Pokémon that got Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire.

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 21/01/2025

been a while!! still going with my sinnoh shiny dex, mostly just mythicals and legends left now! very shocked when primal dialga showed up, i didn't realise i had a shiny mod on soi was baffled getting this 😭

000

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 28/12/2024

so im currently at a rate of 1 shiny per badge on my pokemon emerald legacy professor oak challenge, im shocked at this luck, truly lost for words.

000

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 23/12/2024

on the topic of emerald legacy, ive managed to get two 1/8192 shinies already and im only just on section 2!!! got skitty in pb1 which i finished earlier today, and soon after i got horsea! i'm planning on sending all of my legacy poc pokemon to home but these'll be my priority

My pre-badge 1 save screen before fighting Roxanne. 49 Pokémon in 35 hours 57 minutes.

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 23/12/2024

whilst im doing a professor oak's challenge of pokemon emerald legacy, i thought i should post on here the one i just finished; yellow legacy! genuinely wasnt too difficult, and actually a pretty fun challenge that wasnt insanely grindy! my only nitpick is you cant get shinies

i think one of my hopes for legends za is that it brings in a couple missing forms from the switch, namely pikachu's cosplay forms; they're very fitting with being from gen 6, they clearly fit the culture of kalos so like please :D also eternal floette which i hope is guaranteed

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 27/11/2024

oh boy genesect is coming back to raids so guess i have another go hunt i need to do for my living dex sighhhhh luckily i THINK its just this i need from go raids now (besides deoxys for form dex but fuckkkk thatttt)

000

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 13/11/2024

528 encounters for my shiny tangela in lets go (multiple chains broken before that) and my switch was set to THE WRONG DATE BECAUSE I WAS RESETTING FOR FOSSILS TO GET MONEY fuckkkkkkk #Pokemon #ShinyPokemon

010

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 10/11/2024

400 into a tangela catch combo in lets go and a shiny chansey appears... safe to say i ran into it and then ran away, not breaking my chain for that :D (i literally already got a shiny happiny while doing bonsly sos and i already had the whole line i dont need more)

110

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 09/11/2024

i love doing my silly collages so heres my plan going forward: im gonna try to do as many in their home regions as possible (gen 4 in pla, gen 6 in plza, gen 8 in swsh/pla, gen 9 in sv, etc.) unfortunately that wont work for any other gen but i want some art consistency in them! :D

000

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 09/11/2024

well my future shiny collage posts are gonna be wayyyyy easier now

000

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 08/11/2024

im sure i've said this before but swsh shiny hunting would go from some of the worst in 3ds games to the best if they just made it so shinies were visible in the overworld, you'd see so many pokemon without having to encounter a single one, it would just be perfect

130

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 07/11/2024

unless someone has a really straightforward dummy tutorial for setting up the shiny manaphy retire hunt then i may have to skip manaphy depending on how long the rest of gen 4 takes :( luckily this should be the last gen where i need to jump through hoops to shiny hunt, fingers crossed

000

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 05/11/2024

i lied, bdsp pokeradar you are my enemy ive broken like 10 shellos chains

000

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 05/11/2024

my 3ds xl currently has a broken shoulder, and now the circle pad has collapsed. im still putting it to work for my 3 3ds setup but might need a replacement one LMAO

000

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 04/11/2024

i used pokeradar in bdsp once when it was released to get the shiny starly line and havent used it since. tried the 17 method today and got shiny kricketot, then went to 40 (different chain i ran out of repels lol) and got 5 more including back to back! so now i have enough for genders - crazy odds

000

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 31/10/2024

i think its very telling that nintendo knows which of its older franchises are really popular cause they have nintendogs AND tomodachi life music in the nintendo music app, like they know what people are begging for

000

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 29/10/2024

really enjoying just having a social media where i can yap about my silly pokemon stuff

000

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 29/10/2024

lifes been bumpy so i've been bad at consistently posting about my shinies but i got heatran as my first shiny in this leg of the living dex today :D

110

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 28/10/2024

tbh the only long hunts (knock on wood) that i have for sinnoh are arceus and shaymin in bdsp and manaphy in platinum, which i havent figured out the logistics yet i need someone i watch to make a tutorial for dummies. i do have like 6 wormhole legendary hunts to do too but they'll be fineee

000

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 28/10/2024

time to start sinnoh! i already have 44% of them so a nice headstart, my first planned hunts are pachirisu in friend safari, finneon in usum sos and heatran soft resets in ultra sun!

000

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 28/10/2024

I FINALLY GOT SHINY JIRACHI!!!! 28036 ENCOUNTERS HOLY SHIT THAT WAS A LONG HUNT BUT GEN 3 IS NOW DONE!

3276

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 27/10/2024

given legends arceus was the beginning of the current pokemon content era, especially in terms of challenges and shiny hunting, im shocked there are few if any "catching every shiny unown in legends arceus" videos on youtube

020

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 26/10/2024

i think my plans going forward for my shiny living dex will be to get forms where i can i.e. pokemon like shellos, wormadam and rotom. i wont, however go for stuff like the deoxys forms because im not crazy, if im going to get those im doing it through go. i'll save regional forms for their gens

010

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 26/10/2024

back again with a (admittedly incomplete because im procrastinating jirachi) thread of my gen 3 shiny collages!!! i will add jirachi and deoxys into the thread once i get jirachi which will hopefully be soon! #ShinyPokemon #Pokemon #ShinyLivingDex

1121

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 25/10/2024

well there you have it, after 15236 (almost double that if you include jirachi that im doing alongside this hunt) encounters, i finally got my shiny deoxys in pokemon leaf green. this is my longest hunt by far for now wow. 1 more for my gen 3 shiny living dex - jirachi #ShinyPokemon

241

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 24/10/2024

update on my jirachi/deoxys hunt, im 16k encounters in (2x odds) please help put me out of my misery im like 75% sure im doing this right and that they can be shiny

000

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 23/10/2024

uh oh im standing in the odds for my jirachi/deoxys hunt - roughly 4000 encounters each so far pleaseeeee shiny gods give me luck i cant do two 1/8192 over odds hunts #ShinyPokemon

010

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 22/10/2024

in an ideal world i wanna finish my shiny living dex before legends z-a (maybe not kalos and unova so i can get a couple there) but definitely before gen 10 cause i really want to be able to just hunt new pokemon without thinking about needing old shinies. i think that'd be fun :D #ShinyPokemon

010

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 22/10/2024

updateeeee my mythical hunts have STARTED! im hunting deoxys in emerald (using an rng patch) and leaf green, and jirachi in two copies of ruby using im a blisy's e-reader event!! they're both 1/8192 hunts so wish me luck 😚

000

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 22/10/2024

Heyy girls, gays and theys, I finally got round to making my collages for my Gen 2 #ShinyPokemon Living Dex, hope you enjoy xxx p.s. hopefully gen 3 is coming soon i just need to figure out the mythicals

150

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 21/10/2024

i will update my thread of collages soon as i'm just two pokemon away from completing my gen 3 shiny living dex; deoxys and jirachi. already setup for deoxys, not sure how im going to do jirachi yet, maybe im a blisy's event?

010

Max Maxxus ✨ @maxxus2.bsky.social · 21/10/2024

i just got a shiny torchic 20 seconds into a sparkling power sandwich what do i do now ;-;
