The shirt that I made the other night turned out pretty awesome, I'm very happy with it... so I'm currently working on nb, gf, and gq flag colors. Once done, I will be posting a fundraiser for them to support an org working to lead the fight that we all find ourselves in, if we want to be or not.

I'm not denying that there are other outlets. However we need to recognize that dropping an app that's going to cost 7million people there jobs is outrageous

100

Maxwell wieneke @maxwellwieneke.bsky.social · 18/01/2025

The is an abilist statement, and ignorent. Not everybody has the privilege to work in this meat grinding industry. Tik tok was unique in that way we're it was an opportunity for all sorts of people make a living.

100

Maxwell wieneke @maxwellwieneke.bsky.social · 18/01/2025

For a lot of people tik tok was a income. It wasn't just a few bucks either. It was a full time job

100

Maxwell wieneke @maxwellwieneke.bsky.social · 18/01/2025

Tik tok getting banned is so mind blowing. They'd rather lay off nearly 7million Americans before ever focusing on the gun issues in school, or any actual problems. Tik tok was a tool for many people to make money, find community, share useful skills with people, I can't with this fucking country 😑

Watching a homeless PDXer cooking + trying to stay warm over a little fire on the side of the road. My kid reminds me that homeless folks are more likely to die by fire than any other demographic. Never forget: we can house everyone, keep us ALL warm and fed and we just don't. Bc billionaires.

You too thank you for this lovely conversation, and I do not mean that sarcastically I generally enjoy having a good wholesome debate with somebody even if nobody can agree to something it's always nice to have a stimulating conversation that doesn't involve insults. 🥰

010

Maxwell wieneke @maxwellwieneke.bsky.social · 15/01/2025

And my personal opinion is that nobody should be shamed for buying pre-made stuff and not being a part of the process of creating a character because they for whatever reason lack the creativity to create their own.

000

Maxwell wieneke @maxwellwieneke.bsky.social · 15/01/2025

Well it kind of sounds like neither one of us are willing to bend to the other person in this conversation and that's fine everybody's entitled to their opinion. With this I will end the conversation with you believe people shouldn't buy pre-made stuff they should create their own

110

Maxwell wieneke @maxwellwieneke.bsky.social · 15/01/2025

Expecting eveyeone to be creative so they can have a special bond with a character is unrealistic not everybody has the same set of skills

100

Maxwell wieneke @maxwellwieneke.bsky.social · 15/01/2025

That is such a narrow mindset. Thats like going up to someone with out hands and giving them. Test to say "it's really going to help you in life if you learn to write" It's like I said originally some people don't have that creative mindset and saying they should is really mean.

100

Maxwell wieneke @maxwellwieneke.bsky.social · 15/01/2025

I assure you no one is missing out on anything. They are quite happy to buy something they weren't apart of. Are you willing to go tell someone who can't draw they are missing out on an emotional connection with a character because they didn't draw it?

100

Maxwell wieneke @maxwellwieneke.bsky.social · 15/01/2025

You don't need to be a part of a creative process to have a bond with a character someone else made
