What I especially love about drawing is spending an hour penciling something, and thinking "OK, that looks pretty good, I'll ink it now", and then inking it, and then erasing the pencils, and it's all like "haha no this drawing sucks now".

This week I've been in the process of buying a car. This morning was the business end of it all. 3 hours of reading contracts and sending documents back and forth and finalising pre-purchase inspection fixes and sorting out insurance and all that admin stuff which I rather dislike. Cool car though.

I am rather partial to a good creature feature, and The End of Oak Street fits that bill well. Decent amount of dino-related business. A focus on the character dynamics means the principals in this thing aren't just one dimensional monster fodder. I've a few quibbles, but overall pretty well done.

Sometimes turning the music off and just listening to the sound of my pencil scratching along the paper is nice. Makes me more aware of the various noises of frustration I make while struggling to get something to look the way I want it to though.

Driving home from the grocery store, my brain's left frontal lobe momentarily shorts out, causing me to utter the Secret Gen-X Phrase. My fringe instantly grows by 7 centimetres, blinding me. I run off the road and plow into a 150-year-old oak tree. The impact kills me instantly. No Pocky for Kitty.

Post a cartoon you remember that nobody else remembers

The Biskitts. Basically a Smurfs ripoff. From 1983. Only 13 episodes were produced, mercifully. One of those atrocious '80s cartoons that I've had to scrape from the bottom of my brain for things such as this post. I mean, this thing is dangerously close to being as abysmal as ALF Tales. The West seemed to actively hate animation back then. Did we all have rocks in our heads in the '80s or what?
