To celebrate the 8th night of Hanukkah, we adorned some homemade latkes with caviar, crème fraîche, and lox, and paired it with sparking rosé

On the board 🏆 with Premodern Stiflenought🦐 Added an extra land compared to stock lists, trimmed a Flash of Insight, moved some other things around to season the list to my tastes. It was expensive to get this deck in all old border, so I hope these 11 chests have the nuts!

Some people use Magic Online to chase MOCS invites. Others use it for high-stakes testing. Some just want to play leagues in their underwear. I use it to set new personal records in Goatbots “suggested card swaps.”

The price I pay to have pretty digital Magic cards

Using the "Tempo Reanimator" deck building philosophy and instantly 5-0'd with this Tempo S&T deck. I don't think my exact card choices are optimal, but the archetype felt very good. You also get cute synergies of using Ancient Tomb to crack a Clue and stuff like that.

I tried making an Eternal Weekend recap video but I'm too tired and keep stumbling over my words, so instead I'm just going to give you my sideboard guides for Vintage BUG Lurrus and Legacy UB Reanimator. Thank you to everyone for an amazing and unforgettable weekend ❤️

Top 4 in Vintage and Top 32 in Legacy! 💥 What an incredible weekend (and the results aren’t half bad either)

It felt wrong to have won and top 4’d consecutive Vintage Champs events without owning one of these, so I decided to rectify that issue 🪷

🥈 Got 2nd place in the Friday Vintage Challenge with slightly teched Esper Lurrus Stony Silence over Null Rod because of Flame of Anor. Ironically lost the finals to a Flame of Anor deck while holding Stony Silence and missing white mana. So it goes 😬

Despite accidentally playing 2 Islands instead of Island Swamp, I managed to Top 8'd the Vintage Challenge, and then scooped the QF to go to July 4th stuff with the kiddos. Unsure if the pair of Tamiyo is better or worse than the pair of Bowmasters I cut to make room. They performed well enough 🤷‍♂️

Now, playing Blood Moon with an Urza’s Saga on 2 freezes the progression of the saga, meaning it can just become a construct making machine indefinitely. Also worth noting that Urza’s Saga can still tap for C under a moon, meaning Eldrazi should definitely start running it to reduce Moon exposure.

000

Maxtortion @maxtortion.bsky.social · 11/05/2025

Probably a stupid question, but Scryfall is showing this as a standalone card, and not like, the back side of a different card. It's the back side of a card, right? Asking on behalf of my friends named Aether Vial and Green Sun's Zenith.

I wasn't doing particularly well with a variety of different Legacy decks, so I figured I may as well throw a build of BUG Reanimator together and give it a try. I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it's still really strong🏆

I ordered a Hot Wheels set from Amazon for my younger one’s 5th birthday. On Friday, we instead received a mislabeled Razer mouse (to the disappointment of my 5 year old). So I went through the “wrong item received” thing to get a replacement Hot Wheels set, and guess what just fucking arrived?!

Two, not one, mislabeled Razer mice, that are not, in fact, hot wheels sets.

Had a great week chillin in Maui 🏝️ I successfully reduced my stress a bit, and successfully increased my blood-poke concentration to medically inadvisable levels. When I’m back home, I’ll be aiming to keep the stress low (and probably also keep the poke levels high).
