🧠 Spine2D Exp #7: Skeleton Resizing Resizing a skeleton in Spine usually involves a painful loop of Export -> Import -> Fix Paths. I added a Scale Node to my custom editor to bypass this routine. 🔹 Resize JSON & Assets in one step. 🔹 Check instantly in the viewport. #Spine2D #GameDev #NodeEditor

🧠 Spine2D Exp #6: Texture Repacking The standard Spine atlas workflow (unpack→resize→repack) is tedious. I’ve added Atlas Nodes to my editor to automate it. 🔹 Unpacking 🔹 Repacking 🔹 Selective Scaling #Spine2D #GameDev #TexturePacking #NodeEditor youtu.be/3N_IHjSb7JU?...

#Spine2D Exp #5: Non-Linear Pipelines I’ve updated my custom node editor to support Branching & Filtering. 🔀 🔹 Filters: Select specific Bones, Anims, or Params. 🔹 Branching: Apply different settings to different parts 🔹 Merge: Combine streams back into one file.

🧠 Experiment #3: Spine 2D optimization with Spline & Refit • Spline (Lossless): Deletes redundant keys from straight lines. • Refit (Lossy): Replaces a complex key sequence with a single Bézier curve.

🧠 Experiment 2: #Spine 2D Curve #Optimization via Quantization. This time, I'm targeting the data itself. Node rounds the numbers defining animation curves. Ex: "curve": [0.115, 14.53] → [0.1, 14.5] It's a subtle, lossy optimization that shaves off KBs.

🚀 Public Beta Release: Blender to Spine2D Mesh Exporter An experimental, open-source Blender add-on that exports 3D mesh objects into Spine2D-compatible JSON. I'm an animator, not a programmer — this is more research than polished release! Stay curious and explore with me.

Blender to Spine. 3D to 2D export test: rotation on three axes. The updated rig now supports full 3-axis rotation. Note: scaling may cause deformations, so an additional constraint is required to keep the mesh accurate. #b3d #blender #madewithspine #rigging #Spine2D #2danimation
