to "i have a college degree in video game scoring and hope to realize that someday" tons of my favorite music i heard first in there and permanently associate it. you deserve to have a kick-ass steady gig forever!! best wishes. (2/2)

you don't know me but your music taste when producing HC single-handedly altered the trajectory of my life. i can draw a straight line from "realizing how genius chrono cross music placement was eliciting a huge emotional reaction in me" (1/2)

anyway so happy that he/him lesbianism is back

kurt and rose from fire emblem shadows standing together under bright blue skies, smiling and happy. rose is hanging off kurt's arm. kurt is a young person with layered shoulder length silver grey hair and floppy dog ears wearing a dark blue uniform with gold detailing, and rose is a young woman with long wavy pale teal hair and large white wings wearing a black dress and an ivory crown.

it shouldn't be possible for an intelligent systems soundtrack to surprise me anymore, and yet here we are. they are the best to ever do it and they are only getting better.

i will have the slowest and longest fortune's weave playthrough possible because i'm gonna do all the routes (obviously) and also every time a new music track plays i stop & listen to the whole thing until it loops before i resume playing

I think the characters translated really well, they kind of look like claymation, or like statues you would have in your garden. And of course the music sounds amazing. The nice thing about remakes is that if you don't love the changes, older versions will always be there for you.

Playing Ocarina of Time for the first time as a kid was a very formative experience. One of the first times I felt like I had an "all-time favorite game". I was obsessed for months. I knew they would remake it someday, and that it might be a hard pill to swallow, but ultimately I am happy.

i played it every single day since launch for almost 5 years, but a few months ago they swapped the niantic logo on the loading screen for the scopely logo and i just could not stomach that :( honestly had forgotten that acquisition happened until they made that change

NEW COVER! To celebrate the release of Fortune's Weave in two weeks, this month's composer focus will be on none other than Takeru Kanazaki!! 😍 Starting with this underappreciated banger vocal theme, The Heritors of Arcadia - Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia (www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8MS...)

ms/ultimate guitar is more of a "if it comes up when i google the song" thing. not sure i've ever used a "tutorial" video persay but for niche/specific things i've definitely watched a performance frame by frame to copy fingerings haha

free online transcriptions (either pdfs or video versions) otherwise i'll transcribe by ear! i certainly have a lot of physical sheet music books but most of them are from my youth, i usually won't spring for that these days.

nobody is forcing you to buy a video game ever, but a "boycott" works in instances like BDS where you're applying mass pressure over long periods in concert with other tactics. what the union needs right now is money to fight a corporation that robbed them of their livelihoods.

A lot of "well I'm boycotting it anyway" quotes sort of missing the point that a boycott is a specific tool you deploy with a purpose. I think it's the right move to sidestep trying to make a public dent in what *will* be an immensely high-selling game in favour of directly asking for legal support.

it will take time for me to process 10 new fire emblem tracks... but i've listened once through and i love them 😭 SUPER cool that every character has their own early game map theme instead of fódlan winds x100 like in 3H also SETETH!!! i literally audibly exclaimed out loud!!!

A screenshot from the Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave Direct. The character Seteth is seen sporting yellow-ish hair while riding a dragon. On-screen text lists his name, his level (37), and dubs his Dragoon class "Advanced".
