Maxolotl @maxolotl7089.bsky.social · 09/10/2026I had an idea but I couldn't see it clear enough for me to render faithfully. #weretober2026 Day 5 - Kitsune 040
Maxolotl @maxolotl7089.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Damn this fucken rocks, I don't think I've seen an entire illustration from you until now. Your backgrounds are solid, love the composition! 110

Maxolotl @maxolotl7089.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Mods know what game he's from and that's literally the only reason why they're blocking it lmfao 000
Maxolotl @maxolotl7089.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Just in time for someone more evil and unfortunately more competent to take over. (Seriously, wouldn't Vance just take his place? Isn't that what VPs are for?) 100
Maxolotl @maxolotl7089.bsky.social · 04/10/2026This one I put a lil more effort into cuz I think the idea needed more clarity in order to be conveyed correctly. Pretty happy with this one. #weretober2026 Day 4 - Glass Frog 060
Maxolotl @maxolotl7089.bsky.social · 03/10/2026One of the ones I was less inspired by but possibly just cuz I'm tired right now. #weretober2026 Day 3 - Boar 070
Maxolotl @maxolotl7089.bsky.social · 03/10/2026It sucks cuz I have such vivid ideas for all of these designs but no time to really sit and create them. But I love drawing big creature. #weretober2026 Day 2 - Maned Croc 092
Maxolotl @maxolotl7089.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Almost put way too much effort into this for it to be sustainable with my schedule this month. Man I love October. #weretober2026 Day 1 - Wolf 091
Maxolotl @maxolotl7089.bsky.social · 03/10/2026I was about to say, I'm leaning towards siphonophore if not just from the composition alone. Do you have a size estimate? 110
Maxolotl @maxolotl7089.bsky.social · 01/10/2026I'll be trying this one this year, I love drawing gnarly creatures. Probably won't be on time tho, busy month for me 👻🎃🦇 120
Maxolotl @maxolotl7089.bsky.social · 27/09/2026Humboldt squids have one of the most severe bites of any squid, not sure I'd go swimming with em either way 011
Maxolotl @maxolotl7089.bsky.social · 27/09/2026Assassin bug nymphs. Avoid handling them, their bite isn't bad but they can carry parasites. Otherwise harmless, they're called assassin bugs because they hunt other bugs pretty viciously. 000
Maxolotl @maxolotl7089.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Fun Fact! This is a model of what Megalosaurus was thought to look like in the 1850s! 120

Maxolotl @maxolotl7089.bsky.social · 21/09/2026Man that's bs >:/ But fr it should be pretty easy finding the records if you've got an account or something with the doc. I'd be suspicious if you ask to see em and they say no. 000

Maxolotl @maxolotl7089.bsky.social · 19/09/2026In the end it's probably a very mixed bag, and definitely something that is not studied enough. 011
Maxolotl @maxolotl7089.bsky.social · 19/09/2026Absolutely. And I'd thought about it more after typing earlier, but I'm sure there are also some people who default to trips as truth simply from lack of information- which is a different way to say what you'd mentioned in the first place, I think. 110
Maxolotl @maxolotl7089.bsky.social · 19/09/2026Apologies for being self-indulgent though. I've always thought this topic was fascinating, although be it controversial. 110
Maxolotl @maxolotl7089.bsky.social · 19/09/2026I wouldn't be surprised if shrooms would rewrite his mind to believe in anything *but* reality based on that. Religion is scarred into him, and I'm worried something like that would completely change him to someone I can't connect to. 110
Maxolotl @maxolotl7089.bsky.social · 19/09/2026There's someone very important in my life who says he wants to try shrooms to cure his depression. With his history, I'm terrified he'll simply become a whole other man. Right now he's pretty grounded and realistic, but he was raised *extremely* religious. (...) 110
Maxolotl @maxolotl7089.bsky.social · 19/09/2026Shrooms are particularly potent when it comes to rewiring, hence why there are experiments to cure depression with it. It has a completely different effect on everyone though, some folks don't experience anything, others are completely different people by the end. 110
Maxolotl @maxolotl7089.bsky.social · 19/09/2026I think a big part of it lies in this sentence. Trips (especially drug induced) can do all sorts of things to the brain, even rewriting things. I wouldn't be surprised if it was easy for the drug to essentially overwrite the brain space for reality with itself. 110
