in the breeding specialists office the first thing she brings up is Soap and Ghost's closeness. She seems nervous but she suggests, if ghost was willing, that after they move soap inside they could fashion the artificial host with Ghost's scent and DNA to hopefully convince Soap to lay in it.

Something suggested in the meeting was moving Soap from the ocean to one of their indoor facilities for winter where hopefully the temperature regulation would keep Soap able to breed for a while longer. it wouldn't be his first time, and he had done well last time when recovering from an injury.

Simon has been absolutly ruined for anyone else, after getting fucked and laid in by Soap he doesn't think he could ever sleep with anyone besides the mer, and while Soap's species has on occasion been observed to only keep a partner for one season, he can tell soap is in this for the long run to.

Soap's species is nearing critically endangered, and this is the closest anyone has ever been to convincing Soap to breed. Simon has never heard of a human taking on a Mer clutch, but by all reason he should be able to host one with no problem. He would be doing a huge favor to marine conservation.

Soap's Species lay around a dozen small eggs into a host. The eggs then painlessly burrow into the organ walls and absorb a small amount the host DNA it can use to ensure genetic diversity. After incubation the eggs make their way out of the organ walls and dissolve and the babies are born.
