Not as bad as I was expecting for the Frame (was expecting the lower tier one to be *at least* the price of the higher) but still WAY out of my reach... Buh =(

Steam Frame pricing, showing the 256GB kit to be £889 and the 1TB kit to be £1,089

Hey all. Grandma was taken back to hospital late this morning and I just got back from seeing her. Here's the situation from about 2 hours ago when I left:

Grandma was taken to hospital late this morning. She was hypoxic, her lips, face, fingers, hands, and lower arms all blue. The home found her having an absent episode at the time. They tried to take her BP but couldn't, so called the paramedics. She became alert again once they'd given her some oxygen. They took her to the hospital, at which point, I was called and I started making my way there. When I got there, she was on oxygen and had a heated blanket thing on/under her to keep her warm because her temperature was low and her BP has been rollercoastering.
They took her for a CT that came back normal in the area they were looking, but the scan just caught the bottom of her lungs and spotted some form of obstruction (assumedly a clot). Later tonight, they're sending her for a scan of her lungs to see how many/how big they are and to see what to do next (likely blood thinners to break them up or whatever they do). She's slightly confused (was surprised to see me when I first got there, then surprised again when she got back from her scan after I'd been there for 20 minutes, then was asking about my grandad/her husband who passed n 2019, so.... yeah, not fun). It's assumed that the clot(s) are the reason for her BP going crazy so hopefully once those are sorted, she'll be either better or starting to get better... just need to wait and see...

"Can you believe it's been T-" Yes. I can. I *really* can. Because life has not relented for a single moment in trying to drag me down and I have had to hold tight to every memory I have from this wonderful weekend just to keep me going and every day that passes makes it so much harder. I miss it.

Alrighty~ Terraria update for today's stream! Gonna play with a couple of the Secret Seeds active for this world though~ Been having fun with one of them in particular x3

Nope, tired of this now. Go away. Few years ago when I was still playing it, I'd've been excited as all hell. After the AI slop and the collabs with TERFling's wizard shit, it went in the bin and it's staying there, I don't care who or what gets added to it.

Screw you, Twitch. New panel added to my Twitch channel now.

Twitch panel stating "THIS CHANNEL HAS OPTED OUT OF AI TRAINING (You should too)"

Underneath in the panel information area states "Twitch has now begun training AI on channels by automatically opting-in every channel.

My channel has opted out by changing the setting located in Settings -> Security and Privacy -> Privacy -> Training For Generative AI. You should too. (Click the image to be taken to the Security settings page!)"

Got bit by the productivity bug today, so spent the last few hours working on changing more of the stream setup over to the Nova~ Here's a sneaky look. Here's the new design for the sub badges. Hopefully will have *everything* fixed up by the next stream.

Before and after showing the difference between the old and new sub badges. The before being the furnace cutie mark from my pony with the number of months subbed on top of it. The after is the crescent-moon-and-star sigil that appears on the side of my Nova's face used as the back instead, with the numbers imposed on top once more

(6/6) Pony stuff will still be around, MLP is very much still a thing I am into, but I don't really see myself as a pony any more. (That said, I did add a unicorn horn to the Nova because I still vibe heavily with being a magical creature, so >>) With all that said... Here's the New Me™️

3-view reference sheet of my Novabeast. He has brown, cream and grey patterning on his body, with yellow streams along his sides. He also has crescent moon symbols on each of his cheeks. He has deep brown hair, floof and tail tip. He has a long, golden unicorn horn towards the top of his forehead. In this reference, he is naked, though nothing is showing.

Ended up making a *way* nicer thumbnail for this now it's not 2am and I'm running on fumes, leftovers and extremely high emotions. ...I mean I'm still running on the high emotions, but still.

The Emotions™️ are tearing me apart. So I'm forcing them into something productive. Once again, I'm finding that a single post on BlueSky isn't going to come anywhere near close to explaining and summarising this past weekend. So, much like last year, it's going to be a video. Coming Eventually:

It's finally happening... Thursday streams are coming back and the Year of Firsts can *finally* begin. Next week~

"Well, it's finally happened. After five months, I finally have my Thursdays back. Aside from one final phonecall that has yet to be scheduled, the AuDHD workshops that I've been in since October of last year have come to an end. I have learned a lot (probably way too much, even for a course of that length) and have at least a rough idea of where to go next.
More importantly for the scope of this message though, is that Thursday streams will be making a return! Not only that, but they will be the start of the First-day streams that I'll be doing through the year~
I'll be having this Thursday for myself (because my god I actually get to lie in on a Thursday for the first time in.... well, okay, since Christmas, but aside from that, the first time since October) but next week will be the start of the Year of Firsts!
Next Tuesday will be a run through of Lilac's story in Freedom Planet 1 to refresh my memory (because according to Steam, I've not played Freedom Planet since 2018, holy frick) and then next Thursday will be the first First-day stream starting Freedom Planet 2, as voted for by you~
I am SUPER excited to get started. I can't wait~ See you all then!"

011

Max Firestorm - Novabeast VTuber @maxfirestorm.bsky.social · 12/01/2026

I am SUPER excited about this (and slightly miffed I didn't think of it last year so I could have my first Subathon during the Year of Firsts, but whatever =p) and can't wait to get started! The first stream back SHOULD be this Saturday (and it's looking like it will be) but things can change =p

2026 - The Year of Firsts

Starting February, Thursday streams will return as
“First-day” streams where I play games I’ve either never played
before or never gotten around to finishing. Votes will be held
on Discord to pick what game comes next after completing one.

It’s finally time to try and clear some of that backlog...
Let’s see how many we can get through this year!

001

Max Firestorm - Novabeast VTuber @maxfirestorm.bsky.social · 12/01/2026

Votes will be held for which game to play for these streams in the Discord (Which is linked in my bio~) and the first one is live RIGHT NOW!

Screenshot of a poll from Discord:
"What game should be played for the first Year of Firsts stream? (Target - February)

Sonic Frontiers (Played, Never Finished)
Freedom Planet 2 (Never Player)
Celeste (Never Played)
Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time (Never Played)

Welcome, one and all to the Year Of Firsts! I don't do New Year's Resolutions, but I've seen a bunch of people for the last few years doing Themes for their years instead. I don't normally do those either, but firgured I'd give one a go this year. So with that in mind, 2026 is The Year of Firsts.

New year means new thumbnail for the VOD Archive! First things first, here's the designs for 2024 and 2025 respectively. 2024 was still me leaning into the Sonic side of me, so had the MAX FIRESTORM Sonic 2-styled text in the background. 2025 had the new Moonrise design, so we've got a night sky~

Away from stream, there was the absolute wonder of Furality Somna, the realisation that I shouldn't hide all of who I am, and the breaking down of the wall between Max and my NSFW side, Auric. There was also finding new form in the Novabeast, though the unicorn remains my main 'sona~

An update about future streams starting in October:

Screenshot from a Discord post by me in my server.

Hello @everyone. An important heads up about future streams until (roughly) February of next year.

As you all (probably) know, I've been dealing with a lot of mental health issues for the last few years, resulting in a bunch of therapy and doctor visits and so on. More recently, I've been diagnosed with ADHD and have been told it's likely that I have Autism as well (though that isn't a formal diagnosis because the process of getting a formal Autism diagnosis put in my file is long (Like.... at least a year of waiting kind of long, according to my therapist)). However, I've been asked to attend a workshop of courses on ADHD and Autism to help my understanding of it (especially since this has been something that has been undiagnosed for literal decades and is something that should have been picked up on when I was in frickin' junior school, but whatever).

These courses are being held on Thursday afternoons, right around the time I start streaming, meaning that there won't be any Thursday streams for A While™ as these workshops go on. The first one starts in the first week of October, so the plan is this:

The first week of October will only have a stream on Tuesday. Thursday's will be cancelled entirely so I can get a feel for how these workshops are going to go (especially since the first one is... well, literally that.... An explanation of all the workshops going forwards). If they're not too draining, I'll look at setting up an alternate schedule for while they're happening (Most likely it will be Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, but it's also been suggested that I do Monday, Wednesday, Saturday, we'll see how it goes when we get there). If they are particularly draining, I'll likely only do the Tuesday and Saturday streams for definite, with the odd extra stream as and when.

Thanks for your understanding :MaxFirLove:
