Ya sometimes it gets a little "stuck" for me, so I'll intentionally watch videos for longer that I might have skipped, or skip stuff I might have wanted to watch, until Tiktok gets the hint and starts exploring again.

Maybe bc it's still oriented along that dimension, like how bag of words models struggle to differentiate a thing and it's negation. Maybe try to clean out your likes and follows and start fresh? Or give up on it lol. I like it, but if it's not working for you then you're probably fine without it.

Ya I dunno I have literally never gotten a Maga thing in my feed that I can remember lol. Maybe it's because you've got mainstream media stuff? I mostly follow local or independent creators. A lot of food stuff, science, philosophy, comedy, art, animation...

Admittedly I've been taking the last couple months or so off of Tiktok, but my experience has been mostly positive. Liking videos, duration viewed, liking hashtags, music, and following channels. Aggressively skipping even videos you like if you think you're getting overserved on certain content...
