Look at this absolutely perfect little meringue.

I think the coolest thing about this is that over the few months we were working on this we have noticed more and more moments where the random "for the love of fuck, I'm not plural" is immediately followed by a "wait goddamnit I'm being the fucker from the cartoon again" and it stops

the fact that "don't deadname and misgender trans people even when they're awful" is something we have to constantly repeat rather than common sense really illustrates both how little we're listened to and how conditional our being seen as people is

the disorders are severely underresearched as is, why would plurality that doesn't cause as much distress be highly researched? Science is about documenting the reality we see, not create rules that people absolutely have to go by. (4/??)

Mawita ΔΘ @mawitawit.bsky.social · 16/12/2024

i really enjoy the idea of introducing support needs labels into plurality spaces, because i think a lot of what goes wrong in communication is similar to what happens on for example, the autism side of tumblr, where low support needs individuals take up the vast majority of the space (1/?)

Mawita ΔΘ @mawitawit.bsky.social · 16/12/2024

i feel the need to add that the appreciation is for that i can live like i am right now and don't necessarily have to justify it every single second. No conclusion about diagnosis/origin is gonna be reached before therapy starts up, so it just feels like unnecessary stress to put myself through that

The only reason Bluesky exists in the form it does today is through the efforts of an entire community of trans shitposters. They are the bedrock foundation of this place and Bluesky needs to acknowledge that and take special measures to protect them. This is the very least Bluesky owes trans folks.

"It's a sorrow, of course" (now with alt text) About therianthropy and questioning plurality #pluralsky

Digital illustration of a young man sleeping in a dark void, and loosely hugging a birman cat like a plushie. The birman cat is glowing, and the young mans face is covered in abstract glowing green eyes. He also has antlers, a deer tail, and cat paws in the same glowing green as the eyes. The style has heavy dynamic black outlines, and simple shading, but with a lot of film grade texture on top of it all.

the advice "if you're afraid you're faking it, then you're not faking" is harmful, not because it implies you can't subconsciously fake something, but because it creates a false dichotomy where "being wrong" about something simply isn't an option. I thought i had BPD. I was not faking. I was wrong

have been playing with the idea that i may be plural recently. It's been very tough to look all of me in the eyes like that. But i think it also creates a very healthy dynamic within myself/ makes me better at taking care of myself. It's weird. I'm very excited for therapy -Mark
